The latest word is..the spanish reviewer dude has said he is putting out a video about it soon, and he supposedly has some proof. Lets see what happens on that front, as this would be credibility suicide for him if this doesnt pan out. Its a huge claim right?

And according to the HH guys, the cut is over 3hrs long, it was screened and went well, and they are waiting for the home media sales to die down before an announcement.

I just despise the gloves and boots and think the previous costumes are way superior. I hope to god it ends up looking more like the Datrinti version with gauntlets and boots that don't look like Wellingtons.

It sucks doesn't it? It was confirmed he'd be donning the classic costume by people who've been to official screenings and this maquette was leaked a few months before the confirmation so I'd say it's legit. Still hoping we end up without those gawd-awful boots and gloves.

That's just...its unfair for fan art/design to be this good. Its perfect.

He apparently turned whole scenes from Man of Steel into a graphic novel as commission work. If I had a bunch of money to spare I'd make him do that with the entirety of MOS and BVS

Thanks bro. Thats exciting, but I mean...I cant imagine JL blu ray sales are all that great right now, I dont think announcing it would necessarily hurt any profits they would've made from it. I remember vividly a few years ago, WB released The Dark Knight Trilogy box set on blu ray and the very same day they announced it, they said that there was gonna be ANOTHER "special" edition box set coming much later that same year around the holidays. Turns out that "Special" edition didn't really have anything much extra but some extra memorabilia and stuff. lol

Not minding the classic outfit at all, but that's largely because I was never married to the previous designs. I found Wilkinson's stuff hit or miss. I loved Wonder Woman and Batman, was eh on Aquaman and Superman, but thought Flash and Cyborg looked positively horrible. Way too overdesigned just for the hell of it.

Sometimes keeping it simple isn't a bad thing.

You know... I like this a lot but it wouldn't translate well to live action. Miller's jawline is not strong with that mask/helmet setup, as seen in JL. Chris Evans had the same issue with his Avengers suit.

They should consider adding a chinstrap to sharpen the look overall. It would make a world of difference.

For the solo Flash movie I'd definitely consider making that change if I was the costume designer. It did wonders for Captain America in future movies

Imho, if we don't hear anything by Comic Con then we are definitely not getting anything for this year at least.

I have a theory.. they are holding it back as it has many scenes that are connected to Aquaman, the theatrical version was lacking many scenes that had Aquaman, such as scenes with Mera, with Vulko, Aquaman fighting Parademons and rescuing that sailor. And, that fight where King Atlan with his Atlantean army and Amazons fight with Steppenwolf in past.


I expect 'Snyder Cut' / Extended Cut to be released after Aquaman movie gets released.

I don't really think that's likely. Just given the way the upcoming slate of movies are gonna be viewed as a chance for a fresh start, I don't think they want to be reminding people of Justice League when Aquaman's solo movie is out.

It's gonna have a battle winning over people even without driving home the association to a massive flop like this.

Winning people over is not something anyone can predict, and I doubt everyone who is interested in watching other upcoming DC movies will be buying 'Snyder Cut'.

There's a definitely hunger for this version of the film though. I mean, you go on any youtube video or social media posting about JL or the DCEU and the comments are filled with nothing but endless demands of the "Snyder Cut." Just a month or two ago, Junkie XL was teasing his tomb Raider soundtrack and his twitter feed got filled with comments saying "nah, F all that, where's your Snyder cut music at?" People want this thing bad, I've never seen anything like this before. And the studio definitely is aware of it by now.

If they were smart, they'd release it as a limited special edition with a higher price tag than normal (like $50 bucks or something), a price thats just high enough that they know the fans will be willing to pay and squeeze out some last pennies out of this thing. They spent all those millions on all that unused footage, they might as well put it to use.

Sometimes keeping it simple isn't a bad thing.

Its not the classic design we have a problem with(Batman design is as comicbooky as it gets), or the fact that we liked previous designs. We like the battle costume dont we? And we like the fan art with the classic design.

Its the execution, not the idea. It doesn't come across that well on the toy, fhe the gloves and boots design looks cheap. Hope it looks much better on the film.

Although its no big deal if it doesnt. I'm not that invested in costumes.

I'm a fan of the JL Flash costume. I love how it clearly gives him a great range of motion. It's designed with running in mind, flexible yet durable.

Part of me will always want fabric that expands from the ring, but this also works for me.

Needed that suit-up scene. Felt so odd that the first time we see The Flash, in movie, is on the rooftop.
