Well he looks very good for 50.

he does actually, compared to many other 50 yr olds.

it's just that you can tell he's aged a bit when you compare him now from his man of steel interview.

it's all the pressure from wb and all the hate from the geeks. :waa:

I feel like Kevin Costnah in JFK:

Here you can see the perv known as Aquaman using this moment to save the world as a means to grab a feel of Wonder Woman.

back and to the left, back and to the left.

You can see on the second gif, as she moves slightly to her left as his hand slides down.

down and to the left, down and to the left.

Yep.

Honestly, these guys can pretend as much as they want but I think geeks like Whedon & Snyder are going to care underneath what fans and especially fellow geeks think about their films. I mean I'd be totally happy to get paid millions to make a film that geeks don't like lol but I'd still be disappointed I didn't give them a film they did like.

Some of us did like it though. I hope that Justice League keeps the depth and nuance that BvS had while improving on the things other people didn't like.

Zack knows that he has support. Just needs to tune out the idiots hating and pay attention to the stuff that matters like constructive criticism and specifically what people did like.

I don't even think it's the actual making of these films that wears on you. You're still doing what you love, making nerdy ass movies. I think it's all the stuff that comes after. The press stuff, interviews on interviews with same questions, all the appearances. That stuff would get crazy tiring, especially if I gotta worry about people booing me or interviewers trying to get me to hate on myself.

I think we will see heroes like Green Lantern, Green Arrow, etc but we will only catch glimpses of them in cameos or in post credits to build up towards Part 2

we did see cavill in some of the justice league BTS video that snyder posted over a week ago.
and superman's featured prominently front and center in the JL group photo.
so it's most likely not going to be some 30 second cameo.

i hope it's going to be a meaty role in JL and that his return is an essential part of the plot -- and I hope the marketing does not screw up and spoil how he gets resurrected. Like how it blew its load and showed us Doomsday and Wonder Woman in the trailers.

Very true. I do think the making of the movie wears on you too. In Joss Whedon's case, it seemed like the bureaucratic stuff really got to him (plus I think he broke his leg on set). He couldn't handle all of the corporate mandates and compromises he had to make with his film. These big budget films are made by committee, the producers get a say, the studio heads get a say, everyone puts their hand in your pie. Its what drove Burton away, its what drove Raimi away, its what drove Whedon away.

No doubt Zack loves making these movies, but, comic book fan or not, making these things takes a toll on you. I dunno how Michael Bay does it. lol

I will be happy with 10 SOLID minutes of Superman. Only if his return is beyond epic and jaw dropping and emotional followed by some serious badassery.

Speaking of JJ's endings, I always liked the one for his Flyby script that has Superman leaving Earth to take the fight to the bad guys. If JL Part 2 were still a thing, that'd be a cool cliffhanger to set up Darkseid or whoever, "borrowing" the idea from Superman Returns and doing something interesting with it. Would've also worked well for a BVS with a different plot, instead of a death. Superman getting ahead of DS's imminent arrival while Bruce gets the League and Earth battle-ready in case he fails.

Hmmm...I like that too. No telling who he might encounter in the depths of space.

I could easily see that set up leading to a Mongul on the war world mixed with for the man who has everything’s black mercy/dream world (so that you still incorporate his earth cast) or leading to a Brainiac encounter where they are friendly with each other as Brainiac only seems to be a benign repository of Knowledge until he finds out his method of gathering information, perhaps he is with him when he is alerted to a new world and he invites Kal along only for him to be horrified when he finds his method so he then descends to protect this alien world, which could be the world of any number of DC’S alien species.

Been while since I read a synopsis of Flyby.

Wasn't thier gonna be a twist ending revealing Lex Luthor to be a Kryptonian?

There's many who like it but it's much more divisive than he would have wanted. There are people who don't like TDK and Iron Man but the majority do and I'm sure he wants that kind of reception for films like BvS and JL.

Zack wants fans to embrace it, he always talks about fans, people he believes he stands alongside.
Unfortunately fans are the last people you'd want to listen to because the loud voice is online and basically a hate voice.

Absolutely. I mean, yeah they do have dream jobs for a comic book nerd, but you know they put a lot of themselves into the film, a lot of hard work, all the time hoping that it goes appreciated and loved by the fellow fans of the source material. It's gotta be crushing to get so much negative feedback. Sure, you can play it off like it's not a big deal. And then to have to come back in and lead all these same people who relied so much on you, "Alright people, let's go make Justice League!" Has to be pretty tough to overcome and gain your confidence back.

You know how the saying goes, if you have even one fan you aren't underrated. Zack has more than that.

I love the sonic booms when Superman flies, and that majestic landing that he often does.

Anyone else here who is a fan of the new Batman theme? I love it. I mean the Bruce Wayne one, the one that plays when he is brooding and stuff. That sequence where he is staring at the batsuit and the music is playing, omg that is so epic.

I liked the piano piece that plays at the beginning of They Were Hunters.
