No way. We'll be lucky if this movie gets a $140m budget. I'm almost certain part of the reason they hired Trank is because he showed he can work on a superhero film with a low budget ala Chronicle.
Marvel really screwed up with Iron Man 2 & 3. The Incredible Hulk was nothing special. Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger were both mediocre IMO, and only existed so that those characters could be introduced for the Avengers movie.
Believe it or not, Marvel Studios is not perfect and is flawed. HOWEVER, I do believe that they would do a much better job than FOX, hands down.

Right.IM3 was on part with 1![]()

That's because you're not a big fan of the MCU. This is horrible for me. I don't want to see another Fox FF, I want to see Doom and Silver Surfer in the MCU where they belong. And I want to see Marvel be able to use the name Skrulls and Kree with members of the Skrull and Kree. No matter if the film is good or not I'm not going to be happy because Fox is just holding on to the rights perpetually while not being able to use them to their full potential, when they could be put to far greater use elsewhere.I don't see this as bad news. I'm excited to see what this reboot is like. Fox did a decent job with First Class, and they chose a good director for the FF reboot IMO. Let's see what they have in store for us before everyone starts whining.
I am a fan of the MCU, but I think that the FF can still do well at Fox alongside X-Men. If the movie fails, then we will probably see Marvel's first family return to their home. That's because you're not a big fan of the MCU. This is horrible for me. I had resigned myself to the idea that Fox was moving ahead months ago, but I'm not so sure now and this story doesn't convince me.
Until there's real investment, things can still go either way.

t:A X-Men/FF team-up movie would be completely pointless!
...or Fantastic Four can go back to Marvel and actually get properly utilized.
I just can't see how the FF can exist in the X-Men World that Fox has created. In the X-Men World, people are prejudiced and distrustful of the mutant 'freaks' who have special powers.
How can the FF be perceived any differently? Their mutation was caused by a cosmic accident but it seems they'd just be some more damn dirty mutants in that world.
If the FF are integrated into that world, I can't imagine them being the FF and that's a huge problem for those of us who have been waiting so long for the FF to be portrayed correctly.

And what makes you think ANYONE would watch another Fantastic Four film if that happens?
Fox makes crappy Fantastic Four film. Marvel gets rights back, but no one wants to see Fantastic Four after not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 previous failed attempts. If you count the 1994 film, which I do.
I think a lot of you are just biased towards the MCU. Be more open minded. We know little to nothing about this movie!
