I just watched the movie today and i would say Megatron was the most powerful, then Optimus Prime. Sorry if these had been posted

Yeah, unfortunatly Megatron kicked Optimus's Ironhyde all over the place.:csad:

I hope in the sequel, Optimus Prime gives a better showing against Megatron, and doesn't get as man-raped as he did in the Transformers film.

It seemed to me like the power level was more or less based on size. The bigger ones weren't as agile, but they were brutes. Seeing that he's supposed to be bigger, I wonder if Blackout could've taken out Megatron.

It's a shame he didn't use all those massive pulse weapons in the city. Seemed like a waste.

If it's about size, then Megatron, Starscream, Blackout and Brawl are all more powerful than Optimus.

I think it's a little bit more about where they fight. Optimus just can't fight without any concern in downtown where there are a hell lot of people around.

Say, move the battle field to a remote area like dessert or somewhere, Optimus is not that easy to beat for Megatron I will say.

That's what I am hoping as well. I hope we get a chance to see that in the sequel. While the movie showed OP's nobility, and flashes of his power, we never really seen him cut loose like Megatron. In all likelihood because as you mentioned, he couldn't with all the people around.

When he falls out of that building Megatron shoots him into, I always watch under him to make sure he's not falling onto anyone.

After how careful Ironhide was to not hit that screaming girl, I can imagine Optimus would be trying even harder.

I always thought Optimus Prime was the strongest transformer but if Megatron is that's cool too. Btw, I haven't seen the movie yet.

That was my impression, until I saw the two of them standing next to each other in the movie and realizing just how big Megatron is.

Blackout's even bigger than that, but the soldiers handled him before he really fought anyone, so it's hard to say.

Well in Ghosts of yesterday novel, Blackout was actually beaten by Starsceam in a fight, so I doubt that he could beat megatron.

meh from the movie, it looks like the hardest one to take in battle would be starscream

aerially he's incredibly agile and he has far too much weaponary to have you close down the distance on land.

he's quite simply the perfect weapon.

he's also the only one to lay the smackdown on the humans, decepticons and autobots all at the same time

But Starscream ran off like a little biatch as well, so he's more of a run and gun type. He didn't just jump into any frays.

Optimus is still the better fighter I feel, point blank, after seeing what he did to others in the movie. Megatron reminds him that his weakness is holding back when fighting to protect others, saying that his need to make sure no one else gets hurt is the reason he can't fight to his fullest.

Ok, just to throw in my nickel's worth here about the Optimus Prime/Megatron fight:

1) Optimus was obviously concerned about trying not to hurt people, so he wasn't going all out

2) Optimus had just driven 230 miles to get there

and

3) Megatron just 'woke up' from a 3,000 year nap and was pissed as hell.

>^..^<

Jazz should've kick Megatron's arse. That would be ****ing hilarious and unexpected. :woot: :oldrazz:

jazz should have single handedly taken out devastator to show that his size isn't in afactor in taking out bigger transformers.

Are you sure Blackout was bigger than Meg's? They never really stood next to each other in the movie did they?

It's listed online somewhere, and also on the back of the toy packaging saying "Blackout is the largest of the Decepticons".

He seemed pretty hulky to me. I'm curious to see what he had in mind when he was walking towards Optimus and Megs with the rotor spinning in his hand.
