The Most Screwed-Up Movie You've Seen Is...

Koyanisqaatsi
That filmed could have EASILY been only 20 mins long, but NO, it had to be 2 hours of pure suckage. It is possibly the most pretentious movie I have EVER seen. And I do film studies! (That means we have to watch piles of crappy, pretentious film student films who think they are Stanley Kubrick reincarnated).

I just recently saw the movie Straw Dogs. I've seen bloodier and more violent movies but this movie disturbed the friggin hell out of me. I'm not sure what the message from the movie is supposed to be. Its been a week and I still don't know if I like it.

This qualifies as THE absolute strangest (what's truly weird is I saw it on Bravo "the arts and entertainment channel")...

I often find I have a sick side that wants to see really disturbing imagery in films or cruel and malicious scenes in various movies. This only deals with fictional cinema, though. City of God had a couple of scenes that bothered me deeply, and not in the good way, because they were based on real events. But a film like Ichi the Killer or the first few killings in High Tension often get a gleeful rise out of me. I could literally watch ANYTHING as long as I knew it was just a movie. Anyone else like that?

Ah-hah! So you're the kind of person who goes to see Saw and Hostel.
Personally, I don't see the fun in torture movies. I do not enjoy the idea of spending my saturday night in the theatre watching someone pull out another man's toenail with a heated pair of pliers. The fun in that is beyond me. Even though I have seen my share of violent (gangster)movies, I do not seek out movies that revolve around physcial pain dreamed up by so called directors(Eli Roth, anyone?) that is a bit too much for me.
