Spider-Man's not on TWO Avengers teams is he?

I don't see Cage's problem. You've got Cap saying: Hey, be Avenger. So be ****ing Avengers.

whens this out then?
looks good..so is there two proper avengers teams now??
new avengers and the avengers??

is spidey and wolverine in both?
gonna be interesting to see how the thing joins..cos he's generally just an FF guy.
looking forward to seeing cap britain in avengers at some point..his new costume and power sets great...

Wait, so when Tony still had his company, he couldn't afford to rebuild the mansion, and now that he's broke, he got it rebuilt?

wtf Bendis?

Don't forget Daredevil can't be having a cameo there. :p He's suppose to be either in Japan or Shadowland event. :p

I kinda understand where Luke was coming from in that preview. I mean after Nick Fury's way didn't work, and Tony's way didnt work, and Norman's way certainly didn't work, now its like "Ok, let's try Steve and see if his way works.". Don't get me wrong, as a story idea and plot device i think its awesome having Steve in charge but I can see the heroes' perspective that maybe they're tired of one guy being in charge and pulling all the strings.

Nothing of what Luke said made any sense. Steve's way is to not do anything "his" way. He's offering Luke and every other superhero the freedom to be heroes on their own terms that they've been claiming they want this whole goddamn time. Luke's just being an angry black man stereotype about it.

No, he's usually got some depth. I like him a lot in Thunderbolts so far. But as an Avenger, he seems to embody everything sucky. He's angry for no reason here, he was a terrible leader for most of New Avengers' post-Civil War era, he was the most paranoid of all during Secret Invasion instead of trying to keep his team together by setting a good example, etc.

Yea, that outburst really came outta nowhere, the new avengers have been fighting for Cap since Civil War and now that he's back and in charge they're complaining? But again, I kinda may see where they're coming from, I think after having Tony and Norman be the boss, they really dont want anyone in charge. Either that or Bendis really doesnt care anymore and is just writing out of his ***.

To me, Cage hasn't had an on-going for years. New Avengers is the official Luke Cage, and Bendis 90% of the time writes him as a stereotype.

Maybe Thunderbolts will redeem him, but so far, the past 5 years of characterization have not been good to him.

But no one is in charge the way Norman or Tony were. NOTHING is compulsory anymore. It boggles my mind that Cage doesn't get that. Wanna be Avengers? Cap's inviting him to do that. Wanna retire and be a family man? NOTHING'S STOPPING HIM. Unless Bendis actually intended to write Luke as a totally unreasonable moron, that preview makes Luke look absolutely terrible.

Yet this issue will easily sell at least twice as many copies as Atlas or Avengers Academy or any of the other great series that are launching/relaunching now. Picard, kindly illustrate my disappointment in the fandom at large:

I certainly hope not. :( They are both spread around enough as it is. :(

so The previews was weird, as Spidey and wolverine will be moonlighting on the Other Avengers team, I wonder how Luke "Angry man" Cage will take that?

...
Just happy to see Marvel WILL NOT be doing the standard from ten plus years ago where non main page heroes (*cough*CAGE*Cough*MockingBird*Cough*Songbird*HACK-WEEZE*) are TOSSED BACK INTO LIMBO.

"street level" now equals "Extremely durable - able to press 50 tons?"

I think "street-level" refers more to Cage's concerns. Dude generally spends his time running around the streets helping Iron Fist and Daredevil rather than fighting enemies more on his level. I mean, Cap's a lot less powerful than Cage, but he's never considered "street-level" because he sets his sights a lot higher most of the time. He doesn't care that all he can do to Thanos is break his fist on Thanos' face; he'll still face that f***er down with the fate of the entire universe at stake. Cage seems content to keep his sights a bit more local, and it's not like the New Avengers ever did anything particularly big in scope either--that's part of why some Avengers fans didn't like them. Although, now that Cage is leading the Thunderbolts, he'll probably have to aim a bit higher.

Cage used to be able to lift one ton and his skin was as hard as steel. In another three years bendis will have him tossing the Juggernaut around just cause.

Could be any day now, to be honest. Apparently, Jugs' appearance in ASM weakened him. Again. After he just reclaimed his full power by abandoning his own hope for reform, no less.

Now, now. It's not like Bendis has had Cage say, "Jigga say BOUNCE," and then nod his head to a beat.

Although, speaking of which, Bendis really should have Luke say that. At an enemy. And then they bounce, while Luke nods his head to a beat.

Picard THAT, Corp!
