The New New Avengers

Not anymore. She divorced him before she was replaced by a Skrull and now they're taking things much slower and trying to work out their feelings for each other.

she did? Werent they together when she was originally killed? Did they reunite before that happened?

It was revealed in New Avengers: The Reunion that the Mockingbird who reconciled with Hawkeye and was subsequently killed was actually the Skrull. Mockingbird's last memory before waking up in a Skrull prison was of the airport on her way to deliver the news to Clint that she'd filed the divorce papers and they were officially no longer married.

And then the Skrulls basically tortured her by creating a false West Coast Avengers HQ and impersonating the WCA just to mindf*** her. She ended up breaking out, getting caught again, and ultimately killing the lead Skrull, who had disguised himself as Hawkeye.

So when she came back to Earth, she was conflicted about her relationship with Clint, to say the least. ;)

thanks for that recap. Why is she with him then? Was it an instant reunion? Is she completely back together with him or is she kinda iffy about where they stand. Oh boy, damn Marvel and their skrulls. They unnecesarily complicate things. Thank god there were no X-skrulls during Secret Invasion

I wonder if that little indiscretion he had with Wasp has come up yet?

My first thought is "why is the New Avengers team so much bigger than the Avengers team?"

That's a big team for them being the "B" team of Avengers.

My second thought is, "Why are so many members doing double-duty on Avengers teams?"

I think you kinda answer your own questions here. I mean, as you say they are a big team and almost all of them double on another one as well. It could be that they're so many because when **** goes down and some of the members are away on other stuff there are still people who can join the fight.

At least thats the way I think it may be.

I surprised everyone loved the first issue:cmad:.

Y'know what, ASM #633 and 634 were MUCH better this week!:hehe:

LOVING the family vibe from this book:

Very nice spread.

I thought this first issue was great. It still has the same feel as the preceeding run. I liked this much better than the OTHER Avengers #1 that came out. :D

She's back with Clint because she genuinely loves him on some level. She's been pretty traumatized and she's very cynical with a bleak worldview now, but I think she appreciates that Clint brings out her better nature.

Bobbi organized a new organization called the World Counterterrorism Agency with some ex-SHIELD agents who had also been captured by the Skrulls. Clint joined and has constantly been trying to get her to run the WCA as more of an idealistic superhero organization, as opposed to the shady spy outfit she initially set it up as. She must like that because she keeps Clint around rather than just breaking up with him and kicking him out of the WCA, but she's still trying to figure out how all of those experiences with the Skrulls and her previous relationship with Hawkeye and her very lethal training as a spy for SHIELD come together to make her who she is. So in Hawkeye & Mockingbird she's got Clint whispering in one ear, telling her to stop using lethal force and be more of a superhero, and then she's got Dominic Fortune whispering in her other ear, telling her it's okay to sell weapons the WCA confiscates on missions for funding and such.

who paying the light, gas, power etc bills on that Mansion, since stark "Sold" it to Cage?

Probably Rand, or Luke. He's got deep pockets.

That's true.
Luke:
Last I checked he owned a bar and a controlling interest in a Theater,.. two homes/condo's and enough money to go/do what he wants around the world.

Danny:
Ex- controling interest in the Rand Corp? - he has money to burn to the tune of Millions.

Ben:
A millionaire thanks to the money / investments Reed put in place to support him.

Correction on Benjy, Billionaire. Though I don't know if he ever got his money back after the Government "confiscated" it during the Civil War.

Who cares? Reed must've filed enough new patents since then to make the FF independently wealthy again anyway, and I'm sure Ben and Johnny can pretty much consider Reed and Sue's money their own at this point.

Still, The government took a few billion from me for no f**king reason, even if i'm rich again anyway, I think I might wanna look into getting that s**t back. :o

After Authoritative Action, FF Inc. lost all it's patents. But then Reed just started making more ****. He cured acne in one day.

Ben is one quarter of FF Inc. and I'm sure he's back on top by now.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Why don't they just re-title New Avengers as "Amazing Fantasy" instead? They've had to many supernatural opponents. They should do the same with their Ultimates and Ultimate Avengers now. "Ultimate Fantasy" would be appropriate.

I wonder if Spider-Man will move back into Avengers Tower or Avengers Mansion. The guy could use a break by not having to pay rent.

Why doesnt Peter patent some inventions of his own? He has come up with a few things that he could sell. if he wants to do it secretly to maintain his ID, he could just patent stuff through Reed.

Just a random thought....

Because most of his stuff is Spidey based and would eventually reveal his identity if he were to make money of it, as Stark suggested during an issue of Invincible Iron Man. Parker already gave up a wife to hide his identity again.

He's just a masochist and looks forward to getting verbally abused by his roommate on an hourly basis. So I doubt he's moving to a mansion other than to use a room as a lab (where does he make his webbing anyway nowadays?).

Wait a sec! Aren't Wolverine and Spider-Man both regular Avengers too?

Yeah, but supposedly that's going to be addressed soon. There was a report that after the first arc some of the NNA members are going to possibly drop off the team. (SM, Logan, Hawkeye...)
