The New New Avengers

Plus, Steve talks to Nick Fury. You think Fury doesn't know about X-Force? Black Widow?

Anyone in the Secret Biz prolly knows all about them.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

Well it seems like the only thing Fury seems to just know everything, except that SHIELD was a puppet organization for HYDRA for years apparently.

But people know that it wasn't the real Spider-Man, Hawkeye, or Ms. Marvel. People saw Clint Barton on TV, unmasked saying how psychotic Norman Osborn is. And people saw Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel fight Norman Osborn's forces.

However, because Wolverine was barely with the New Avengers during Dark Reign and when he did fight Osborn, it was either when there were no TV cameras in New Avengers #50 or he was doing X-Force style covert fighting during Utopia and as a result you have people thinking that Daken and Logan are the same.
All it takes is Steve and the other Avengers vouching for Logan to make people realize he wasnt Daken

FYI, he fought the Dark Avengers and Norman in the Exodus oneshot. That was televised in the news and media. The public saw two Wolverines on tv. One wearing his current Avengers costume and no mask standing alongside the X-men and another in his dark X-men costume alongside Noman's team. Its pretty obvious that Logan wasnt working with him and that he had a doppleganger just like he did with Ms. Marvel, Spiderman, Hawkeye, etc...

Another example of how easy a thing could be in the MU - like it would only take the FF, Cap, Iron Man, anyone really to vouch for Spider-Man not being a public menace and not being a thief and not being the criminal partner of every supervillain he's seen fighting.

But then we wouldn't have the "Hard luck Parker" that apparently is the essence of everyone out there so they can relate.

Yeah, but what's saying the public couldn't start hating Spider-Man for some other random reason.

Considering the Marvel General Populace is pretty stupid, i dought it. Considering convicted Mega Maniac Norman Osbourne was trusted by them, and allowed to run the Goverment.

Yeah, because criminals, liars, and psychopaths are NEVER given the benefit of the doubt or allowed to run things in the real world.

Then why the hell did Daniel way say that people think that Daken and Logan are the same person when discussing about the Daken relaunch :cmad:

Well if Ted Bundy comes back to life, and becomes leader of the U.S. Goverment, then we can talk.

I didnt read that but if he did, then he's misinforemd or ignoring whats been set up to establish a premise that he wants for his title. Or he could be saying the public is that stupid, seeing 2 Wolverines fighting each other on tv and assuming Logan now has the mutant power to duplicate and throw down with himself

Not to get into a SHIELD discussion (cos we've got a thread for that). But I can totally see the logic behind it. Nick comes up with the idea, but mothballs it. It gets found by Hydra double agents in the united nations, and seen as the perfect way to keep close tabs on not only the US government, but many governments.

Well,.. I went and bought/read the new new Avengers #1.

I liked it - period.

I guess I've really been feening for the FRIEND byplay between Danny and Luke.
I really needed to see Logan use one of his little known abilities.
The Thing needs to be on a superteam to give him a break from being on fetch and carry duty for Reed.

I thought "The lady from Sword" was an Alien Hybrid of some sort?
.
I ACTUALLY WANT to buy issue two.

"Because you're big and made of rock!"

Haha. This looks like a funny series.

so far this series is entertaining. I think I read that magic is going to be redefined in the MU.

Gawd, Victoria Hand is a total spaz. I can see why she and Norman got along so well. :hehe:

She's funny. :p I like her a lot.

From the latest issue of New Avengers:

''What the f**k am I reading ? ''

Wait, Doctor Strange f***ing stole the Eye of Agamotto? What kind of two-bit punk does Bendis take Strange for?

Yeah, I dunno what the f**k was up with the last issue. For someone who clearly doesn't know a whole lot about the character beyond your average wikipedia entries, Bendis seems to have grown attached to f**king around with Strange.

Leave Strangey along, Bendis! Leave him alloooone!

Edit: No all caps....Really?
