The New New Avengers

The glow's intentional. Its meant to imitate Tron. Other Marvel heroes will be getting the same treatment. Spiderwoman, Thor, Cap A, Wolverine, Iron Man, Spiderman are among the others

She's wearing a colander on her crotch. It's awesome design, awesome design, awesome design, colander crotch.

Keep the knee pads and the colander crotch. Get some of that Ms. Marvel ass cleavage going, and you got yourself a costume. Not enough long sleeve tops with pantie bottoms.

What's the deal with these particular variants? Every marvel comic had a vampire variant the last couple months. Now they're starting to have alternate glowing suit variants.

Tron Legacy is coming out this December. Tron is a Disney product and Marvel is now owned by Disney. Its a way of crosspromoting it. Here's the rest. I think Quicksilver, Captain America and Spidey are my other favorites

Yes, I realize that. But I meant they should adapt that costume with less glowing as Ms. Marvel's normal costume. Her swimsuit costume looks stupid to me.

Oh ok. I dont think its stupid so much as its time for something new. That one dates back to the 70s and its time for a change. I may be one of the few but I loved her Homeland Security costume. She looked good in pants and this kinda reminds me of it

Yeah, I liked the armored look of that costume, too. The TRON version is kind of a nice mix, retaining the iconic look of her lightning-bolt swimsuit but making it look a bit more practical.

Like the TRON look, like the Homeland Security look but sorry, nothing beats the 70s outfit. It's a classic.

Bendis revealed the new nanny for Luke an Jessica's baby @ the NYCC Avengers panel......

Bendis addressed the question of "Who is the nanny?" of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones' baby in "New Avengers" joking that it had to be someone new because "Agatha Harkness is dead." He then revealed that after much debate, Squirrel Girl won out. "This isn't a joke," the writer said. "I wrote my Squirrel Girl issue. She has a hidden past with some members of the group...she's one of dozens of people who auditioned for the job, and you'll meet all the applicants in the book."

All that and more here:http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=28792

*shocked surprise*
(grumble - take your eyes off the book for a second,....)

Okay.

I've had time to digest the implications:
SQ has a powerset that would allow her to care for and protect a child.

(I'm ignoring her awesome ability to whoop major marvel villians)

Evasion or flat out scampering away,.. you'd need to be Triathalon or better to keepup, and very agile to catch her,.. then you have to deal with someone who beats butt regular in her day to day.

As long as they don't take her out of character, (which based on canon should annoy the heck out of Luke), I got no problem with her watching their kids.:awesome:

Power Baby can play with diseased rodents all day!

You know I would love it if Gambit joined this book. He gets no love in the X-men and this title seems like it could be a good fit for him, at least better than Wolverine.

Better this team than the proper Avengers. Now if only we could get Wolverine booted off that team...

Eh, I'm close to dropping Avengers anyway. I've not really cared for it since day one, don't like the art, and overall I'm just unimpressed. If it weren't for Rulk joining the team I think I'd be done with it.

I dropped it after #2. Wolveirne was a contributing factor, but mostly it was Bendis' inability to write a good Avengers story to save his life.

No body seems to be talking about this book here, so I guess everyone is content with it. I wanted to hate this book but it's performed well it's first arc. Immonen is one of the best talents in comics today.

I've been enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I only picked it up at first because I wanted to give all four Avengers titles a shot, but it's turned out to be a pretty solid read.

I'm not reading it. S'why I'm not talking about it. Maybe that reason applies to a lot of others around here--a thought that warms my heart. :)

Ditto.
I really enjoy the book - there have been no "real" surprises - I saw VooDoo was doomed before it started and just wondered how it would happen.

Just like Thunderbolts,.. the interaction is what has my attention, And it is one of the books where the characters appear "in character".

I'm glad they have toned down both Carol and Jessica's combative natures as both seem able to "relax" around friends, in the same sentence,.. I'm loving Jessica making an effort to improve on using her powers,..

I hope the Iron Fist and the Thing stick around - Danny seems like he needs more of that unconditional friendship that he and Luke share - The Thing REALLY needs a break from the FF.

More later,..
