TASM the game was everything I wanted it to be, but I think it's fair to ask more from the next one

For example:
- more web oriented moves like web grab, web to poles and all that kind of fun stuff
- web rush to be faster, and to have more momentum. It was a cool mechanic for sure, but I didn't feel the rush (no pun intended) that I felt with web swinging
- less robots
- over all just better more fluid animations. I feel that Beenox hasn't yet really overcome the choppy animation problem
- web sticking to buildings. Yes, I think that the web swinging is rather awesome in this game but imagine how good it would be if the mechanics would also consider that it has to stick somewhere.
 
- Josh Keaton, I want to hear him in the next game :p
- MOAR costumes!
- Better bosses
- More animations
- Combo takedowns (a la Arkham City)
- More photography missions
- More variation to the buildings
 
good list :) I agree on almost everything but I'm not sure if I want to hear Josh Keaton outside the comic book based games. I thought Sam Riegel was a really fitting voice for this Spider-Man

If Green Goblin is the main baddie in the second film and dies, then I really hope we get Hobgoblin as the main villain in the game set after it. The classic versions that is.

That would be awesome! Also, the vulture should be there, Morbius (portrayed more as a cross-species rather than a vampire), Hydro-man and maybe Mysterio?
 
I actually hope the web doesn't stick to buildings, I feel it actually hampers the feeling of being Spidey. How about implementing more ground-city stuff? And parkour?

And no Peter Parker, Beenox said that they want you to feel like you're playing as Spider-Man, not playing Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man.

Although, I dunno, I don't know if I would completely mind Peter Parker.

But yea, more ground life in the City and Parkour are what I really want.

I think we're cut from the same tree, have a knack for joining forums about things we like. And I mean a lot of forums.

On topic
- More functions for the Os-Phone such as an in-game radio
- VAs from Spider-Man cartoons/comics/games/movies
- Something to make costumes even more special (e.g. classic symbiote suit would have black organic webs)
- Pull back the camera when Spider-Man is in a fight.
- Improved swinging (shooting two webs, hanging upside down etc)
 
- Dynamic crimes after 100% completion
- Parkour sequences when beginning to websling from alleys
- Livelier city

to add more I need the game. Come on August 10th!

OK here are some things I'd like Beenox to do with ASM2: The Game:

* As I said, have Hobgoblin as the main villain if Green Goblin is the villain in the film. An alternative could be to have Hobgoblin have a large role but have Doc Ock be the major villain.

* A little more accurate Manhattan.

* Some better alternate suits, such as the Ben Reilly one or classic comic book black suit etc.

* Another awesome "cameo" or fun references to Stan Lee! (I demand this!)

* A bigger and more so a better role for Bruce Campbell.

* Every skill you upgraded in this game to stay right from the start.

* HUMANS ONLY!! Please! I'm sick of monsters here and robots there. Sure, this game had a pretty good balance and made much sense story wise but next time, I want only non cross-species villains and goons, and no robots.

* More exciting villains and better boss fights where you get to use your smarts. Spot will never be used in a film so I'd love to battle him in the next game. Same goes for Shocker, Vulture, Sandman, Hydro-Man etc. I'd love to face Mr. Negative as well after Beenox hinted at him.

* Web rush to be a little more smooth and not so weird at times when you point at a new direction mid-air.

* More smooth free flow with added moves.

* Random crimes that are not as boring and easy as the mini missions in ASM. I liked someone's idea about linked crimes: bank robbery -> shootout -> car chase. Have Spidey resque people with a time limit this time like in SM2. Racing against a villain (Vulture, Hobgoblin and The Spot perhaps?). Daily Bugle missions if Peter starts to take photos for them in the next movie. Have random crimes appear post story mode as well.

* Things that affects Manhattan like the rat invasion, burning buildings, infected people etc. in ASM. Things that make the game feel cinematic.

* Faster and more forward going web swing.

* More and better puzzles that challenge your mind a bit. This should go for boss battles as well.

* More story missions outside in Manhattan. I felt ASM was restricted to Oscorp and the sewers too much. Speaking of Oscorp, I don't want them to take as much space as they did in ASM. They should have a big part for sure, but don't have everything connected to only that.

* Keep the great voice acting coming, but record more lines so we don't have to hear "Stay frosty!" all the time again.

* Have a better animation for the web reload. Have him actually reload them one arm at a time and not that cowboy looking animation we had in ASM. Nitpick, yeah, but it's details like that that makes the game step up a bit if you ask me.

* Have the comics collecting be exactly as it is in ASM, it was perfect. Same goes for voice evidence.

* Keep the mysterious signs or references of other villains like in ASM.

* Now if Peter works for The Daily Bugle I'd love to have an ability to web my camera to the ceiling or wall before fighting thugs, adjust the angle yourself and then let it take pictures automatically while you're in the fight. Let them also give you points when sending those pics to JJJ.


...these are just those that come to mind right now, I'll post some more later.
 
  • I would like to see a targeting system for using gadgets and webs.
  • More of a variety of web based moves and "settings" for the shooters.(Web blast,Web Shot,etc)
  • More flipping and somersaulting animations for the dodging.
  • Too see Peter Parker and them attempting to give us the full experience of being a superhero and how to protect our identity.
  • More variety in side missions.
  • Webs sticking to the buildings and objects like Spiderman 2. And being able to aim where I "fire" the web.(Like Infamous 2's lightning tether but way more intuitive and not stiff)
  • Being able to run along walls dmc style and jump off of them.
  • An expanded combat system.
  • Spiderman 2's momentum and the bottom of the swing mechanic.
  • The ability to upgrade my jumps/flips and acrobatics like sm2 but better.

That's all I got for now...
 
* Better web-swinging. I didn't have a problem with it at first, but when you have to go from one side of Manhattan to the other, it's painfully slow. It needs a boost button and better physics.
*Faster wall-crawling. The speed he crawled in vents is a good pace, why couldn't he have crawled that fast on buildings?
*A bigger, more accurate Manhattan, unless the web-swinging isn't changed.
*More things for bad guys to do and randomly generated crimes. Remember how in Spider-Man 2 you could go inside buildings for no reason? Bring back that, and have missions there too. Like armed robberies or even hostage situations.
*A bigger variety of missions. For example, maybe a burning building rescue. That would be a good use of the web-rush.
*Bring back combos instead of just mashing X and Y.
*Web cartridges. Make better use of the web, and make the player think more about it. We could bring back the web-gloves and web-dome.
And really, just everything Oscorp posted
 
* Faster and better looking wall crawling

* To make use of the D-pad more. One is for hiding the OsPhone map, but the other three could be used to something interesting.

* To use Spider Tracers on one or more villains.

* Another villain I forgot that I'd like is Chameleon. Could use the Spider Tracers on him in a mission to find him in a crowd. Could be really cool (and no, he shouldn't be another cross species)
 
hm. I won't use a D-Pad since I'm on the PC.

August 10th needs to come fast.
 
Also bring back the slowdown feature from sm2 where we could dodge bullets or at least improve it.

I love web rush, but Spidey doesn't always have to use his webs to get to places. Especially, when, y'know, he could simply jump up to the air vent, or jump to the next lamp post.

I assume because the game version is far more buff than Andrew Garfield's lanky Spider-man. It kind of creates a weird inconsistency, like he went off bench pressing train cars over his summer vacation. :woot:

I don't mind, but I actually did think it odd as well.
 
Andrew Garfield (and the movie voice cast), more fluid and fleshed out combat, the ability to change the weather outside of your apartment, better, faster web swinging, better human character graphics, more A-list bosses.
 
Also the ability to flip and stuff when doing regular jump. It's kinda lame that he couldn't do any cool movement like flipping etc.

Oh and for goodness sakes add a rumble or controller reaction for webbing.
