I always thought Ollie should carry around a sword, but I wanted it to be a claymore or some other form of European broadsword. You know, really hammer in the Errol Flynn swashbuckler thing.

I agree. Katana and Ollie do not fit. At all. Maybe that's why no one has shown him with one since. Also, he need to go back to the hat. I hate his hood costume. A cloak, maybe, but his pleather hoody thing is terrible.

We should join forces. Together we can be justice. That is, unless Corp is coming to us as a villain and not a hero.

That would make him practically indistinguishable from Marvel's Fandral, which I would not like. They already dress almost exactly the same and have the same facial hair. :o

Yeah, but Fandral's got super speed and he wears....purple or something.

What? No, he wears green. And he only recently got super-speed. Not sure why JMS randomly tossed that in there.

Spell it anyway you like it's still stupid. Fandral on the other hand, sounds awesome and gets panties off. So, since we aren't using guy with stupid name, may as well slide his power over to somebody more interesting.

One of Thor's old Asgardian Support characters with super speed, though I think somebody said he was actually a mutant or something.

He's a human whose family was killed by Vikings who misinterpreted the Norse gods' message and used it as justification to murder, rape, and pillage. Thor felt responsible so Odin brought Thialfi to Asgard and imbued him with the powers of a god. He and Thor remained friends and, when Odin died and Thor became Lord of Asgard, Thialfi became one of his most trusted advisers along with Balder, Sif, and the Warriors Three.

Then he got eaten by Fenris Wolf after betraying Thor in a now-alternate future. It's a little weird.

Which techincally means he should still be alive, unless he died in Ragnarock, which means he should still be alive, unless Thor only brought back Gods, not God powered humans....yeah, it is weird.

Actually, I'm pretty sure since Thialfi got sucked into the future via Zarrko's time travel device during the fall of Asgard, he's just dead. Thor went back in time and made Asgard return to its own dimension during that battle, so Thialfi would've already traveled to the future by then, meaning he wouldn't have gone back to the Asgardian dimension with the city. Alternate Fenris Wolf still gets his meal, it seems.

Like why wouldn't Marty and the Doc use parts from the DeLorean they had stored in the mine in B2tF3?

And how the f**k did he build a steam powered time machine?

He's the Doc. If he can beat those crazy-ass Libyans, he can do anything. :o

I mean, how does one build a time machine out of an 80's sports car? Is a locomotive that primitive compared to a DeLorean when we are speaking of time travel?

I imagine Doc could figure out how to melt sand down to make microchips (that's how they make microchips right ). But then again, this is the guy who made an ice maker the size of a 1960 computer.

.....Yes. Particularly if one puts stolen plutonium in said 80's sports car. What could he have possibly put into a damn train, built with s**t he could find in the 1800's?

Well, the plutonium was only necessary to create the 1.21 gigawatts. You have steam turning a turbine fast enough, of course, this would require one helluva reinforced boiler. Hmm.... thinking about it, plutonium on it's own does not create electricity. Plutonium is used to heat and evaporate water to create steam (right?), so Doc already kinda had a steam powered time machine in the DeLorean.

I wasn't putting down the character, I think done right Slade is cool.
He was great in the comics and the cartoon, and as long as (like all other characters) he isn't made too powerful or unstoppable he is cool.

I was only asking, as a character in the DC world, don't you think maybe some characters would talk about him behind his back, look down on him, or make fun of him.
Remember on Batman the animated series, Batgirl was killed, Gordon turned all of the GPD against Batman and all his sidekicks, and sent Bane after him.
In their final fight Bane says, as a jab, "What else could I expect from a killer of children."

I like him, I just was curious if any characters have commented on that.

Didn't that Batman episode turn out to be a dream, and it ended with Jim Gordon thinking his daughter is a stripper?

I dunno about that last part, but yes, it was a dream. However, I don't think that was Artistsean's point, but rather he was using that bit of dialogue as an example of how others might view someone who goes around actively trying to kill kids.

"Over the Edge." Probably the greatest single episode of B:TAS in the new animation style. :awesome:
