I'm actually starting to like this. I hope they announce a full remaster and only release it as a cell phone game.

Square at least needs to remaster the PSP games for PS4. Crisis Core and the Dissidia games need to follow Type-0

Agreed. Dissidia would be amazing on a console.

It is weird that those never got ports to either the PS2 or PS3. Guess Square foresaw they could make more money down the line or something.

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster listed for PS4 at Square Enix Boutique

Final Fantasy X and X-2 upgrades headed to PlayStation 4?

The Square Enix Boutique, Square Enix France’s official online store, has listed Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster for PlayStation 4.
The page, which dates the unannounced PlayStation 4 version for 2015, has since been removed, but a Google cache version is still available. You can find a high-res version of the PlayStation 4 box art on the non-cached server here.

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster first launched for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in Japan in December, following a western release in March.
We’ve contacted Square Enix for comment.
Thanks, NeoGAF.
Update: “We are looking into this matter and have no comment at this time,” a Square Enix representative told Gematsu.

Luckily I haven't bought the PS3 version yet.

Having spent nearly 400 hours with the PS3 version, I probably would rebuy it. Its too soon though. They should wait at least 3 years IMO

I agree. Dissidia would be so beautiful on a console, especially on the PS4. Plus added online multiplayer capabilities.:bow:

It would just be an up port to an already up ported title. I don't see what the point of waiting would be, unless you just have to buy it right the second it comes out.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 remaster confirmed for PS4 in Spring 2015. Will have "system-exclsuive features." I don't know why they don't bring this to the Xbone (or even the 360). Not that I'm port begging, I have and played both games on the PS2 that I don't feel a need for this, but it seems weird how the franchise is multiplat across these two systems, yet they withhold things like this that could potentially build a base for other FF games.

Kind of BS that it's a port of a port and they are making it more expensive than this year's release

I think the classic port is $14.99 on PSN right now.

I saw the FF Type 0 collectors edition. I think I will go ahead and pre-order it. I've heard great things about it, so I really want to try it out.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Collector’s Edition announced
Published 10 hours ago. 35 comments.

Tabata planning Reddit AMA for January 23.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be available in both standard and Collector’s Edition when it launches in March, Square Enix announced.
The Collector’s Edition costs $99 / €89.99 and includes:

  • Golden SteelBook Case: Featuring illustrations by world-renowned artist Yo****aka Amano, this premium case holds both the game and soundtrack CD.
  • Composer’s Selections Soundtrack: Includes 15 tracks hand-picked by the game’s composer, Takeharu Ishimoto.
  • Final Fantasy Type-0 Manga: A complete 200 page manga comic establishing the world and characters of the game.
  • 80-Page Art Book: Dive into the war-torn land of Orience through its illustrations and art renders.
  • Ace’s Cards: Five life-size replicas of the iconic cards held by Class Zero’s Ace.
  • Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae Demo: Every copy of the Collector’s Edition includes a code for the Final Fantasy XV playable demo. Be among the first to play the game with your order of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
Square Enix clarified that the Final Fantasy XV demo will be exclusive to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and will never be released as a standalone download. If you don’t pick up the Collector’s Edition, which guarantees the demo, you can still get the demo in “Day One” (or first-print) copies of the standard edition.
Additionally, the company announced that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD director Hajime Tabata will host a Reddit AMA on January 23 at 10:00 a.m. PST / 1:00 p.m. EST.

Hm, only in first print copies, hmm? Well, I don't know if I'll get a chance to try it out then. I may get Type-0, but I really don't know if I'll get it early for $60.

hmmm...I might have to preorder Type-0, then. I want that demo, but I'm not going to spend $99 for a collector's edition.

I just pre-ordered the Final Fantasy Type Zero collectors edition the reviews of been really good and it sound like a type of Final Fantasy game that I would really enjoy so I'm excited for it.

Right after the rerelease of X, there was a lot of talk about XII getting similar treatment. Wonder if it'll make it to the PS4.

Am I wrong in thinking you were all about more "traditional" turn-based/ATB styled FF? Because, from what I've read, this is real time combat with more focus on quick action, kind of the anti-thesis of that.
