I am hoping Square will port over the Kingdom Hearts rereleases. Particularly since I haven't bought them for the PS3 yet. They seem to be open to it going by one quote saying it's a possibility they'll explore.

I'd like to play the PSP FF games, specifically Crisis Core. At this point, I'm probably never going to bother with a PSP or Vita.

didn't they also have some "anthology" collections of the earlier FFs on the PS1/PSP/Vita?

if they're in the porting mood, I wouldn't mind them just porting all of them to the PS4.

I never got a chance to play the original ones. VII was my first real introduction to FF, so that's why it has a special place in my heart.

They had a collection of the first two FFs (FF: Origins, I believe), and then I believe they had a version of the FFIII and IV 3DS remakes.

Square Enix Working On Ways To Bring Other Final Fantasy Titles To PS4. December 17, 2014 . 3:05am

“Actually, not limited to just X/X-2, we’re currently thinking of setting [a way] to have other past Final Fantasy titles playable on the PS4,” said Square Enix’s Shinji Hashimoto.

Last week, Square Enix announced Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for PlayStation 4. During a Sony Computer Entertainment press conference in China, producer Shinji Hashimoto had a little more to share about the Final Fantasy series moving onto PlayStation 4.

During the interview, Hashimoto was asked whether other titles besides Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be available in the Chinese market.

“Actually, not limited to just X/X-2, we’re currently thinking of setting [a way] to have other past Final Fantasy titles playable on the PS4,” said Hashimoto. “Most of our Final Fantasy assets go up until the PS3, while most of the world has rapidly been shifting towards the PS4.”

“And in China’s case, they’re practically starting with the PlayStation 4 as their main console,” he continued.” “For this reason, we’re keeping in mind the sense of crisis of not being able to play these masterpiece titles.”

“However, this does not mean that we can simply transfer [these titles] to PS4, so as content holders, we must prepare a way to steadily have them available to play on PS4.”

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will release in Japan in May 2015 for PlayStation 4. Square Enix announced that it will also release in North America and Europe in Spring 2015.

^^ good.

as long as they are actual ports you can buy and not just made available through PS Now.

I bet that means that we should hear of a Lightning Saga Remaster at some point next year

I suspect a remaster of all the XIII trilogy and XII, finally. Besides that, I suspect the rest will be available on the PSN shop as ports. The PS1 games are already up on the PS3 one, I believe. Not sure about the rest, though. Ports of the mobile remakes, I suppose.

Isn't there a rumor that the Kingdom Hearts Remasters are making their way to PS4 too? Because then I won't bother to buy the PS3 versions.

Some rumors, yeah, about it coming to both the PS4 and Xbone. But if it's legit, it probably won't come out until closer to KHIII, and god knows when that will actually be.

Available for repurchase of course. I have no idea why the PS4 isn't at least backwards compatible with PS1 games

Square Enix’s Console Game Developers Are Learning To Make Free-to-Play Games. December 17, 2014 . 2:31pm

Square Enix’s Schoolgirl Strikers was created internally by developers that previously worked on console games.

Square Enix have been releasing a steady stream of smartphone games in Japan, and a number of these have gone on to do fairly well for the company, including Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light, Final Fantasy: Record Keeper and their 3D battling RPG, Schoolgirl Strikers, which you can learn more about here.

Schoolgirl Strikers in particular is an interesting game. Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda revealed at a recent financial results briefing that the game has been a “huge success” and contributed significantly to their earnings. He then said the game was actually developed by an internal Square Enix team, instead of being outsourced to another company.

“This internal development team is comprised mainly of seasoned developers from the PS2 and PS3 era,” Matsuda said. “Having this team succeed in F2P development was a big milestone for the Company.”

He continued, “Some people say that developing F2P titles would be a major challenge for console developers, however this success has stimulated our internal development teams and veteran developers, and I believe this was a considerable achievement.”

If you’re interested in seeing a breakdown of how Square Enix are managing their development pipeline across different kinds of games, you I would recommend reading this report.

New trailer discredits the students of Class Zero.

Following Tuesday’s “Orience News Special Report” trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Square Enix has released a new trailer dubbed “Traitors of Orience.”
Wheras the first video introduced the personalities within Class Zero and their fight against the Militesi army, today’s trailer shows “the students’ arrogance and petty in-fighting within the group.” Square Enix markets it as a “new propaganda film” created in response to the first trailer by in-game character High Commander Marshal Cid Aulstyne.

FFT0-Special-Edition-More-Init-JF.jpg

Square Enix debuted a new trailer, Japanese collector’s edition and PlayStation 4 hardware bundle, and gameplay details for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD at Jump Festa.
The new collector’s edition, dubbed the “Ultimate Box,” is a Square Enix e-Store exclusive, and includes the following or 19,440 yen:

  • A special box themed to be like an admissions package to the school
  • “The Best of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy Agito” soundtrack CD
  • School calendar that starts in April
  • School ID
  • Ace’s Magic card set (five cards)
  • Scarf with Class 0 insignia
The PlayStation 4 hardware bundle includes a crimson red and black PlayStation 4 console with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD branding, a crimson red DualShock 4 controller, a copy of the game, and download codes for the Final Fantasy XV demo and a Final Fantasy Type-0 HD theme. It will launch on March 19 for 46,980 yen, with pre-orders opening on December 22 at 13:00 Japan time. High-resolution shots are available at 4Gamer.net.
As for gameplay information, Square Enix has updated the game’s camera, showing off a video comparing the old camera versus the new camera, which has been smoothed to resolve collision issues with geometry, and whose targeting has been improved to make both characters and enemies more visible. Because of these modifications, characters can now run around faster and more smoothly. For example, Ace can teleport around quicker, and Shiva can move faster.
Square Enix mentioned again that Final Fantasy Agito+ for PS Vita has been delayed to an unspecified date, and announced that Shiva costumes are coming to Final Fantasy Agito for smartphones in January.

You begin the game by making your own Final Fantasy Agito character, then you start out living the school life at the academy, where you’ll also get to meet some of the characters from Final Fantasy Type-0.

Tabata points to problem within the development environment.
Agito-Plus-Delay-Explain_12-23-14.jpg

Final Fantasy Agito+, the PS Vita version of the free-to-play smartphone game, was originally planned for launch in Japan on January 15. But it was delayed in October to an unspecified date. In this week’s issue of Famitsu, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD director Hajime Tabata explains the reason for the delay.
“We discovered a big problem within the development environment, and inevitably had to delay the game,” Tabata said. “This is a problem within the development environment of PS Vita, and there’s not much more we can do as a company. Right now, we’re waiting for an update to the development environment, as well as support from Sony Computer Entertainment. As soon as we can pinpoint a release date, we’ll announce it at a later time.”
Tabata also briefly touched on the current state of Type-0 HD.
“We’ve started debugging and are entering the final stages,” Tabata said. “Cameras and movement speed have also been improved, so battles are a lot easier.”
Tabata demonstrated the game’s new camera at Jump Festa.
Thanks, Hachima Kikou.

When is FFXV supposed to be out again? Updating my calender of must have games.

There's no date. Most people are hoping for 2015, and the demo with Type-0 gives hope to that, but they've yet to say an actual date or release window.

XV will never come out. it is all one big myth. a lie. :o

Orience is at war in Final Fantasy Type-0, but the RPG isn’t an endless series of battles. Players can explore The Vermillion Bird peristylia where Class Zero resides. The town area has a Chocobo Ranch where you can ride chocobos and moogles.

Each character in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD uses a different weapon. Machina’s twin rapiers can create a spinning sword barrier around him when you use Sword Field. Nine is armed with spears and can throw them at enemies. Queen uses a sword and her Cross Judge ability creates a beam of light at the cost of her ability gauge. When this ability is activated, you can control Queen to rotate the beam. Ace throws cards and has an ability that traps enemies. Rem’s Magic Satellite ability creates a targeting circle and hits enemies with a beam of magic energy from the sky.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD comes out on March 17, 2015 in North America, March 19 in Japan, and March 20 in Europe.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD ‘Orience News: Combat Special’ trailer

Latest trailer details the combat mechanics of Class Zero.

FFT0-PV_01-22-Init.jpg
The latest “Orience News” trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD details the combat mechanics of the game’s 14 playable characters, which make up Class Zero.
The game is party-based, with characters fighting together in groups of three. When one member falls, he or she can be replaced by another of Class Zero’s cadets.
When an enemy unit is defeated, it leaves Phantoma, which can be harvested by cadets in order to enhance their magic abilities. The color of the Phantoma harvested indicates its elemental capabilities.
As far as magic goes, there are three types of properties: fire, thunder, and ice. Using the power of the harvested Phantoma, the cadets can increase the range and speed of their spells. Additionally, the three cadets in action can also combine their power to perform a triad maneuver and deal higher damage to a target.
By sacrificing their life, a cadet can summon a formidable beast. These summons are called Eidolons. Of course, the fallen cadet can be revived by returning to base.

What Defines The Final Fantasy "Type" Series. January 22, 2015 . 10:15pm

Director Hajime Tabata explains to Siliconera what he hopes to do with the Type line of Final Fantasy games and mentions Square Enix’s new president is in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
is actually part of a new branch of Final Fantasy games. Square Enix is embarking on a new Type branch series kind of like how Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is its own series. You might not see Ace or any of the Vermilion Bird students in Final Fantasy Type-1, though. Director Hajime Tabata explains to Siliconera what he hopes to do with the Type line of Final Fantasy games and mentions Square Enix’s new president is in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.

How does writing a story compare when the protagonists are teenagers like in Final Fantasy Type-0 compared to adults like in Final Fantasy XV?

Hajime Tabata, Director: The approach taken to the game is different depending on the age of the main characters. The environment the characters exist in changes depending on their age. For example, if they’re in high school or if they are adults. If they are adults they will live an an adult environment and their relationships will differ too.

Could you elaborate on how relationships are different in a Final Fantasy game with teenagers as leads instead of adults?

Teenagers have relationships with each other and also with the adults are part of their lives. There is a dynamic between how the adults and teens feel towards each other and interact with each other. In depicting these relationships there is a generational difference that showcases the characters in a different light.

Adults are independent and have their own mentalities. The way they distance themselves with other adults differs significantly from the way teenagers do so. This is a very simplistic explanation, but the two age groups interact with each other is significantly different.

In Type-0, the main characters are teenagers so they probably don’t know the full weight a life carries or the true fear of battle. These are things they do not know. For them, they will experience this throughout the game and grow up and develop as characters. That is only made possible by starting off with main characters at their age group.

Do you feel Final Fantasy Type-0 is a coming of age story?

Yeah, showcasing them growing up and developing as human beings.

When Super Soldier Akkid was chasing my team in the train escape team, suddenly your avatar popped in the game and saved Cinque from Super Soldier Akkid.

In the original version of Final Fantasy Type-0 for PSP there was ad-hoc multiplayer mode where if you had the PSP and game in the same room with your friends you could get assistance from them. Since the console version doesn’t have that system we strengthened the assist system so players can receive help from the game itself.

All of the character data is included within the game, but the game was built if we ever look into an online system that would be potentially possible. Unfortunately, with this game the network system doesn’t exist, so there are stock characters in the game. Did the assist system help at all?

Yeah, it helped me run away, but Tabata-san your avatar didn’t survive.

[Laughs] In the PSP version, the assist characters were pretty weak so we strengthened them significantly for the console version, but I still died. The stock characters were registered avatars the developers were using. Just to be a little playful, we added the core staff and our previous president [Yoichi] Wada-san. For Type-0 HD there is a new member, our current president [Yosuke] Matsuda-san. The concept is for the entire Square Enix staff to come to your assistance and help you out.

In the PSP game, there was a limited amount of time players could assist you in ad-hoc mode. Since we didn’t include an online function in Type-0 HD, the entire multiplayer aspect is lost. But, the rare items that could only be obtained through the multiplayer mode have been redistributed throughout the game.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has a new costume for players to find too.

There is one new costume that didn’t exist in the PSP version. I can’t say what it is, but there is a brand new costume you will be able to obtain in the game. Other costumes that you could obtain outside of the normal PSP game have been included in game as well.

The Type series has been designated for experimental Final Fantasy games. What do you consider the elements you need to have to make a game a Final Fantasy game?

Chocobos. [Tabata-san joked and then laughed]

Kitase-san once said to me, ever since Sakaguchi-san created the first Final Fantasy title they can freely create Final Fantasy games however they like. However, in order to get the honor to create one you need to be deemed fit. For me, Kitase-san and Nomura-san had to feel that I knew what was important to the series and I would be able to handle a title with this franchise. It’s kind of a vague concept.

This is different from other titles inside Square Enix like Dragon Quest where it is defined by the creator who has been working on it. Final Fantasy has had various people work with the series and it has expanded in the hands of different creators. The Final Fantasy DNA can only be relayed by the predecessors who deem a person to be fit to handle it and Kitase-san had said when you’re handing the series off to someone else be sure that person knows the Final Fantasy DNA and has it in their heart to work on it.

What defines a Type series Final Fantasy game then?

Hmm… if I get too specific we’ll be grounded with that. Is it OK if I talk about a bigger direction? The big direction is to challenge things that can’t be done in a numbered Final Fantasy. We want to keep true to the Final Fantasy franchise, but deliver it to new audiences and potentially new platforms. Engaging in that grander challenge is what I would like to do with the Type series.

Earlier you said creators are free to create different kinds of Final Fantasy games, but do you feel there is pressure from fans to have certain tenets or mythology from the series as a whole?

Yes, I do believe there are expectations from fans. One being the expectation built from their past experiences with the franchise and them wanting to experience that kind of feeling or have an aspect from a previous title refined. There is also the fact that the Final Fantasy series has engaged in new challenges, so there are also fans looking forward to new experiences that lie ahead.

The balance between the two is very important. If we are able to make a 50-50 split, most fans would feel that it is a proper evolution for the franchise, but if it’s an 80-20 split where 80% is evolution then that would be a challenging title.

Final Fantasy XV is 50-50. A Type series game is 80-20. Final Fantasy Type-0 is actually 70-30.

Final Fantasy Type-0′s more mature story has been a point of discussion. Do you feel that perhaps Final Fantasy games are designed for a certain demographic or age group and with the Type series you can expand beyond that?

With the Type series it’s very free. Type-1 could potentially be a story more geared towards adults while Type-2 could be a little more kid-oriented. With the numbered games we’re always trying to aim for a wide range of demographics. With the Type series we could focus on a certain demographic and the content could be potentially created around that.

We have the demographic data for Final Fantasy Type-0 in Japan and it’s a little different from some of the numbered titles. That was an interesting result and with the Western release it will be interesting to see where it stands with global data. We can utilize that and see where we can go next.

Other developers might have their own ideas too and I believe the Type series is a place where you can focus the direction of the game. When it comes to the budget, of course it’s lower with the Type titles than the numbered Final Fantasy games, so it does becomes more of a focused challenge. Because you can have a more focused direction the demographics for a Type game can have a different range, it can go anywhere.

Tabata talks Type-0 HD, Episode Duscae, personal preferences.
Tabata-AMA-Compiled_01-23-15.jpg
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD director Hajime Tabata took to Reddit today to answer fans’ questions about the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game.
Of course, while the answers provided are largely focused on Type-0 HD, there are also some answers concerning the Final Fantasy XV demo included with first-print copies, as well as Tabata’s personal preferences.
Get the full compilation of answers below.
Questions About Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
What were the reasons behind not making a PS Vita version from Type-0 HD? Would you have any interest in making a Type-0 sequel, given the chance?
I wanted everyone to be able to play the game on a large high-definition screen. Honestly, my eyesight’s getting worse, so it’s getting difficult to see things on a smaller screen.
I’ve seen some questions about why Type-0 isn’t being released on the Vita while X | X-2 HD saw a Vita release. The reason is that the X | X-2 HD Remaster was developed on a PS3/Xbox 360 environment, while Type-0 HD was developed on a PS4/Xbox One environment. So there is a great difference in the technical specs and it would not be easy to export the data to the Vita. As for a sequel, I would love to work on one if Type-0 HD does well.
Are there any plans for a PC version of Type-0 HD?
There are currently no plans for a PC version, but I am very interested in Steam. The thing is, I want to know when Valve’s going to release Half-Life 2: Episode 3.
I’ve been a supporter of Steam since Half-Life 2. I actually bought an expensive graphics card just to play Half-Life (the original). The opening to Half-Life is actually one of my favorite game intros.
How long is Type-0 HD?
I think you should be able to see the ending in around 40 hours. But the real fun starts from the second playthrough since you get some new events, so you’ll probably be able to play for over 100 hours. Take your time to get the full experience and have fun!
Will US/EU versions of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD have an option for Japanese voices? Will digital pre-orders also give access to the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo or is it limited only to package versions of the game?
The Japanese voices have been included as salromano mentioned. Thank you salromano!! The European version will include English and Japanese voice work and English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitles as well.
We are planning to include the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo for a limited time with a Type-0 HD digital purchase as well.
With the original PSP port of the game, the character exclusive accessories (i.e, God’s Rulebook) were obtained through having a Japanese Square Enix Member log-in that could be synced for download. Are those accessories still available in the console port through DLC or gameplay, or are they now removed? There are a few cutscenes in the original game one could only trigger by accessing them through the Crimson Codex. When in development, did any of these cutscenes get moved to play within the game’s story, or did they all stay where the player has to choose to watch them?
All of the accessories can be obtained in-game. The Members’ Site rewards have been incorporated into the game itself, so don’t worry.
As for the Crimson mission events, the design is the same as the PSP version. But, we’ve added some new (important!) scenes for the HD version, so do your best to unlock and view those events!
Question Set:

  1. In the PSP version of Final Fantasy Type-0 the the online multiplayer tied into a lot of sidequests and rewards. Now that the co-op multiplayer has been cut, how will you be handling those side-quests and rewards?
  2. Has the games pacing been changed in any way to reflect its move from a portable format to a home console format?
  3. Are you still working on the trophy/achievement list for the game. JRPGs tend to have very tedious trophies could you please have some entertaining trophies/achievements?
  4. Will There be unlockable costumes?
  5. Will there be an option to turn blood ‘on’ or ‘off’ and will Final Fantasy XV be like Type-0 HD in its depiction of violence and its consequences?
Answer set:

  1. All of the side-quests and rewards remain in the game and are obtainable, so don’t worry.
  2. We calculated the speed of the party characters, and increased their speed for the HD version. We also improved the controls for characters where we felt they could be improved.
  3. There aren’t any tedious trophies/achievements in the game. We used Final Fantasy XIII as an example for our trophy/achievement list.
  4. The two bonus costumes from the PSP version are still in the game, and we have also added a new costume specifically for the HD version.
  5. Unfortunately there are no VFX (blood effects) options available in the game. I have actually never heard that requested from our fans in Japan, but is that a popular feature that gamers in North America like to see in games?
Question Set:

  1. Why does Seven look so much similar to Lightning?
  2. Who is your favorite character design in Type-0?
  3. What are the three best characters in terms of Magic, Strength, and Range? (I’m assuming this would be a well rounded party?)
  4. After XV comes out, would you consider releasing Type-0 HD on the Vita like a year later perhaps?
  5. Will the people who bought Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster for PS3 get a free upgrade to the PS4 version?
Answer Set:

  1. In the Japanese version we used the same voice actress for both characters and they’re both very cool. I wonder why?
  2. My favorite character in Type-0 is the soldier who dies in the intro. His name is Izana.
  3. Ace, Rem, and King are my suggestions for beginners. For more advanced players, I’d use Trey, Jack, and Eight (or Seven).
  4. For questions 4 & 5… hahaha!
Does the high demand for Type-0 release in America surprise you? There is a big audience in America for people who love Japanese games.
I was very surprised by the response and very happy by the outpouring of support. I would love to make a great Final Fantasy community with our American fans.
In the PSP version of Type-0 there were a number of faults in the battle mechanics that persisted throughout the game. One of the problems you have addressed is the erratic camera which it seems you may have addressed. However, the biggest fault with the game was the party AI. Often members of your party would stand still in a battle doing absolutely nothing during a fight. This unreliable AI made it more beneficial to simply compose a party of one character that you controlled yourself. Has there been any work on this serious problem for the release of the HD remake?
The AI wasn’t a code due to technical restrictions with the PSP. So we made the AI focus on healing the player when their HP got really low and ensured that the AI-controlled characters wouldn’t die easily or “steal” too many kills from the player. We made it this way because of the reserves function since only the characters in the active battle party earn experience.
We didn’t make any changes to this feature in the HD version as that would require an overhaul of the system from the ground up.
We have made some improvements to camera and controls as you said. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the improvements!
This is the first Final Fantasy game with an M rating. Was there a specific reason you wanted to tell a more mature story?
I wanted to create a Final Fantasy where you could truly feel a vibrant game world and characters, while also exploring the deep emotions of the characters. My work on Crisis Core got me interested in exploring and creating a game with those themes.
We know that multiplayer was cut from the game. On a technical level, would it be possible to add multiplayer at a later date in a patch?
In the original PSP version, we used the ad-hoc mode for the multiplayer feature. So trying to include that in the HD version would require creating a system to match players over a server and we felt that it would be difficult to include that in the HD version. I’m sorry.

Yoichi Wada, Square Enix’s previous CEO, is now the president of Shinra Technologies, a cloud gaming streaming program. This is different from Dive In, another cloud streaming service which has games like Final Fantasy XIII streaming to tablets in Japan.
Shinra Technologies will hold a technical beta test in Japan starting on February 17. Internet provider NTT East will stream content through their optical fiber network and Techorus servers are rendering content. The beta test in Japan will have Final Fantasy VII, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Hitman: Absolution, Tomb Raider, and the Agni’s Philosophy tech demo available to be streamed. Square Enix also announced Space Sweeper, an indie developed twin stick MMO shooter.

The Japanese beta will last for three months and if you’re in Japan you can apply to join the closed beta test here. A similar Shinra Technologies beta is scheduled for the United States in summer 2015.

Shinra Technologies Proposes Cloud-Based Super-Computing For Prototyping Games. February 2, 2015 . 9:57am

Outside of streaming games, Shinra hopes to use cloud-based “super-computing” technology to make it easier for developers to prototype their games.

Back in September, Square Enix announced that they had set up a new subsidiary to explore the cloud gaming space. Shinra Technologies, named after the company in Final Fantasy VII, is headed up by former Square Enix president Yoichi Wada and will begin beta-testing some its cloud streaming services later this month.

Outside of streaming games, one of the other things Shinra hopes to do with its cloud tech is use cloud-based “super-computing” technology to make it easier for developers to prototype their games. Shinra’s Senior VP, Jacob Navok, says that the company’s “Prototype Accelerator” initiative is aimed at developers that are “frustrated by their ability to create games based on the limits of current technology”.

The first studio Shinra is partnering with to experiment with this initiative is Seattle-based Camouflaj LLC, the developer of Republique, who will be making use of the company’s super-computing services in some fashion.

“Until recently we’ve been focused on squeezing as much out of mobile platforms as possible, and now we’re exploring what’s possible at the other end of the spectrum with Shinra’s supercomputer-powered technology,” said Camouflaj founder, Ryan Payton. “Shinra’s Prototype Accelerator enables us to embrace the true spirit of prototyping, letting us prove out gameplay concepts that consumer devices simply cannot power. This endeavor will not simply be about cutting edge graphics—our prototype goal is to give players a taste of the future.”

Shinra Technologies says it is currently considering proposals from development teams and publishers around the world. In the meantime, its first technical beta test for its game streaming services will go live on February 17th in Japan, with games like Final Fantasy VII and Tomb Raider being among the test subjects. A U.S. beta is scheduled for this Summer.

Shinra is the second of Square Enix’s cloud-gaming initiatives at present, the first one being Dive In, a service that allows the streaming of games like Final Fantasy XIII to smartphones. During the company’s financial results briefing back in September, Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda stated that, while Shinra is a subsidiary of Square Enix, there are plans to have it become an independent entity by raising capital from external sources.

For the first time ever, the members of Square Enix’s staff responsible for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and FINAL FANTASY XV, will be coming to North America. However, this time, they will be speaking with and sharing their experiences working on these game with college students. This is a tremendous idea, as it may inspire many up-and-coming developers to work on creating great games for the market. As of right now, the team will appear at two colleges; Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas on February 26, and at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles on March 12. Feel free to let us know if you will be attending the lectures, we’d love to hear some feedback from you.
