Famitsu has gone up with a new five-minute gameplay video of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD introducing three of the RPG’s key points.
The three points outlined in the video include:

• A new rendition of Final Fantasy Type-0
• Subtle balance adjustments make it easier to play
• A deep story, as well as side elements

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17 in North America and March 20 in Europe.

Sice attacks with a scythe and her attacks chain into combos. She has a unique ability to absorb hatred from dead enemies and as her aura glow brighter her attacks get more powerful.

Eight fights with his fists and a skilled player can cancel attacks. Pressing different directions while using his knuckles makes Eight do different attacks. The downside is Eight has limited range and needs to get in close to enemies to hit them.

King is the opposite of Eight. He doesn’t mind using weapons, has two handguns, and is a long range specialist. One thing players need to be aware of is King needs to take breaks from fighting to reload when he runs out of bullets. King also has a kick move he can use as a backup or for close range combat.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is scheduled to come out on March 17 in North America, March 19 in Japan, and March 20 in Europe.

Dissidia Final Fantasy announced for arcades

Y'Shtola from Final Fantasy XIV makes her debut.
The new arcade game teased by Square Enix late last month is Dissidia Final Fantasy, the publisher announced at the Japan Amusement Expo in Chiba today.
The game uses a three-versus-three battle system different from its predecessors, and has evolved visuals in comparison. Y’Shtola from Final Fantasy XIV will be playable, but characters from Final Fantasy XV have not been confirmed. The Onion Knight (Final Fantasy III), Terra Branford (Final Fantasy VI), Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII), and Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII) are also playable.
Square Enix will hold a presentation on April 10 where it will presumably share more information. The Warrior of Light pictured in the key visual below is said to be an in-game model, rather than CG.

Square Enix has released the English version of the final Japanese trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, which includes the English version of the Final Fantasy XV demo trailer.
The trailer highlights the members of Class Zero and the obstacles they face.
The Final Fantasy XV demo is included with all early copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and will be playable day-and-date with the game’s launch on March 17 in North America and March 20 in Europe. New details about the demo came out this morning.

A new English trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD shows off story scenes from the upcoming game.

[YT]t2qnynoBbLI[/YT] A new English trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD shows off story scenes from the upcoming game, and if you aren’t already familiar with Type-0, you might be a little taken aback by the way it begins.

The trailer also shows off scenes from the upcoming Final Fantasy XV demo. As reported earlier this year, the Final Fantasy XV demo will be available to those that buy the “Day One” edition of Type-0 on the same day as the game itself. You’ll be able to download it via PSN and Xbox Live.

New details for the demo were made available today, and you can read up on them here. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be available on March 17th in North America and March 20th in Europe. Additionally, Square Enix have also released screenshots from the FFXV demo, which you can check out below.

Square Enix has announced the launch of a new online store and return of its Square Enix Members Rewards Program.
The online store has been completely redesigned and offers “vast improvements” in usability, product offerings, checkout options, and more. It also has an optimized mobile version.
The Square Enix Members Rewards program is back with new features, including full integration with the Square Enix Store, allowing Members to easily accumulate reward point throughout the year to redeem them for exclusive prizes. It features a redesigned system that will allow users to redeem their points at any time for prizes, which will be announced at a later date. Square Enix is offering an additional free 50 points to anyone signing up within the first week of the new store’s launch as a bonus to the initial launch. If you pre-ordered the collector’s edition of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, you’ll get 50 points automatically.

The downside is Jack is slow moving so he can’t run away from a fight. If you’re engaged in battle it might be best to sidestep and set Jack up for a well timed counterattack.

Seven uses a whipblade similar to Ivy from the Soulcalibur series. Her weapon can latch on to enemies and either pull them towards her or quickly bring Seven to a monster. She also has abilities that drain HP and MP from enemies.​

Deuce’s weapon is a flute that shoots bubbles that home in on enemies or can be set as a trap. The way she nonchalantly skips past mecha without a care in the world while playing the flute makes her one of the most interesting characters in Class Zero.

Sony and Square Enix have announced the launch of a new “Dragon Quest x Final Fantasy Double Purchase Campaign” in Japan.
Users who purchase both Dragon Quest Heroes (the PlayStation 4 version) and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD can download a lottery ticket on the Japanese PlayStation Store to be entered in the running to win one of 100 Dragon Quest x Final Fantasy PlayStation 4 hard-drive bay covers, pictured below.

In addition to upgrading the graphics, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has a couple of brand new elements not found in the PSP release. If players meet certain conditions they can unlock a secret movie.

Director Hajime Tabata revealed before Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has one brand new costume. This outfit gives the students of Class Zero a gold mantle.


Other costumes that were distributed through Square Enix Members can be earned in the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD too without having to wrangle with a Japan region Square Enix account. Players will also be able to earn Trophies on PlayStation 4 and unlock achievements on Xbox One.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD comes out on March 17 in North America, March 19 in Japan, and March 20 in Europe.

"New type of Final Fantasy" less than three weeks from launch.

With the launch of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD less than three weeks away, Square Enix has released a lengthy new gameplay overview trailer.
The trailer features:

• The history and environments of the war-torn Kingdom of Orience
• The fourteen brave young warriors of Class Zero
• The action-packed battle system, with customizable magic spells
• The ability to summon fearsome monsters known as Eidolons

Square Enix of America also confirmed the existence of a secret movie previously confirmed by Square Enix of Japan. It will be unlocked when a player meets certain conditions in the game.
