I'd much rather they go with Rudd.
i don't think he was ever in the running for Pym. speculatively, he would have been up for Scott Lang (or even Eric O'Grady). Rudd seems almost inevitable as Pym, at this point. and i'm, of course, going basically by instinct and knowledge of their past roles. Rudd's more believable as an unconventional mentor figure. JGL and Bell have both played people in need of direction, to some extent.
