after reading these last 3 pages I'm glad I'm not a comic reader and only got into the Marvel world after seeing Iron Man 1 and learning about what they were planning on doing with all these movies becoming cross overs and eventually teaming up.
It just seems that so many people that read comics find themselves disappointed frequently over some aspect or another in every comic film. Not that any of that is a bad thing, I know people want the characters they've loved and read for decades to be done the right way, or whatever their version of the right way is. But for me I just take things as they come since I have no knowledge of who or what Ant Man is supposed to be like. These movies are just like any other movie to me, if I like it then I'm content, if it sucks then oh well, any kind of comic accuracy is just bonus points I suppose. As they say, "ignorance is bliss."
I can't wait for the trailer(s) of this film to come out because I have no idea what to expect. I enjoy the cast they've put together, so that's a positive start, but I'm not entirely sure it's something I'll end up liking. Marvel hasn't failed me yet in their Cinematic Universe so I'm not going to lose hope now! lol
I wager the same argument for the new FF film coming out as well, I've seen nothing of it outside of the director (which I like) and the cast (which I also felt is strong) but I only constantly see hate hurled towards it. It might not end up being a faithful comic accurate Fantastic Four movie, but it might turn out to be a good film so I'm patiently awaiting a preview of that as well. I've always viewed these comic based films as just another adaptation of the characters being used, which if I'm not mistaken happens a heck of a lot in the comics, I'm sure sometimes it's not well recieved when a new writer takes over a book and other times it becomes better than everything else before it. (I'd provide examples if I had any lol). The same can be said for these comic films, MCU/Fox/Sony/DCU/whatever, in my opinion at least. Make a good movie and you've got at least one guy giving you my 10 bucks to see it.
