I think this movie looks freaking awesome...I do have doubts at it's box office success. But I think those fears will go away once Marvel starts the hype machine up for the film after AoG. :)

Who could the "Secret Character" be? Hank as Ant-Man (as a Lego set suggests)? Yellowjacket (though probably not secret since we know how he looks like)? Janet or Hope as Wasp?

It's either Wasp or Pym in a different suit.

I saw on some ET-like show earlier, the guy that's playing the young Pym, in the flashback scenes. Don't recall his name. Nobody I ever heard of. Used to be on one of the soap operas. Said he has been watching all of Douglas's old flicks to get his manerisms and speech down. Also said he worked with Douglas for a week in prep for the part.

Beat you to it SHH.

Poor Ant-Man, the Spidey boards and AoU threads are getting all the MCU love right now. Don't worry, I haven't forgot about you. Paul Rudd on the Jack and Triumph show the other night was hilarious. When he came on he said "I'm part of the Marvel universe now. It's $20 million a film!" haha

Wow who is that actor? That's undisclosed info even now on Internet.

And they cast a nobody because it's a look alike?

My guess is he's got a relatively small role if that's the case. I liked the Patrick Wilson rumor the best. Shame they lost him (even though I think, in the end, that wasn't his role).

Yea, that was a misconception based on early speculation that everyone seems to have run with. I think it was later revealed that Wilson was going to play Darren Cross' cousin, William Cross AKA Crossfire. He was then written out after Wright bailed.

It would be cool if it was Giant-Man but I don't think it is.

I really doubt they'd have Douglas become Giant-Man. But who knows

The one take away I got from the Ant-Man movie prelude comic is Hank really doesn't trust anyone but himself with his technology.

Yellow Jacket looks so awesome! I can't wait to see the suit in action.

I would love to a giant Michael Douglas suited up and kicking ass in the MCU! It would be hilarious. If they do go that route it will be a pretty easy role since he wouldn't really have to get very physical since I assume it would be done mostly via green screen

hoping we get a full trailer for Antman soon

If Ant-Man doesn't grow in this movie it will not do well in the box office. It might be heartfelt and a good movie but audiences just won't be that interested.

We need Giant-Man to attrack audiences. And give him away to defeat YellowJacket. It'd be funny. Yellow Jacket can do everything Ant-Man can do and their evenly matched until Ant-Man activates a growth feature in the Pym Particles that YellowJacket never knew about. And he's standing there all giant while Yellow Jacket tries to punch him and eventually just gives up. It'd fit the comedic tone I assume their trying to go with in this film.

The Marvel brand is it's drawing card. "From the studio that bought you Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy" will get people in the theaters.

That's interesting cause I asked a whole bunch of my friends how they feel about Ant-Man and got to tell them some history about the character, with Hank Pym and Scott Lang and they all found Giant Man to seem more lame and found Ant-Man to be interesting.

I have to agree. Ant-Man is way more interesting than Giant Man. GM should definitely appear in a sequel maybe, but Ant-Man is just better. Every other superhero can get bigger and stronger; few shrink. Plus it fits the heist theme, Ant-Man could be a spy, it allows for way more interesting visuals...

Plus ending the movie with him becoming Giant Man and comedically destroying Yellowjacket with little effort would suck. It wouldn't be that funny and it would not be very badass.

Im hoping they introduce the Giant power in a cool way at the end. Maybe just a quick shot of a huge boot, then fade to black, end credits

Giant Man rules! Always preferred Giant Man to Ant man. Tall as a building, with the strength that comes along with it? Sign me up! I identified with Giant Man. I was always the biggest/tallest kid in my class, often in my entire grade. When the some of the shorter kids got near me, BOOM, Giant Man! Or at least Goliath anyway, lol. I preferred Yellow Jacket to Ant Man as well. I always found the most interesting part of Ant Man's skill set was the ability to talk to, and control ants.

I actually like Hank Pym more as Giant Man or even Yellowjacket than he was Ant-Man. I've always liked Scott more in that sense though I do respect Hank when he was Ant-Man. It's like how I think of Robin. Dick will always have a place in my heart as Robin but I love him more as Nightwing and love Tim as Robin. Or Jason, what have you. Hate Damian. But I digress.
