More Ant-Man news from EW.

A ton of background stuff Corey Stoll's villain Darren Cross and his connection to Hope.

Spoilers
According to the talented House of Cards and The Strain actor, Darren Cross and and Henry Pym’s daughter Hope Van Dyne collude to wrestle control of Pym Technologies from Henry Pym.

Cross started to become aware of these rumors of this fabled technology that can shrink people to half an inch while keeping their full-size strength and became very obsessed with it. Cross demanded that we move forward but Pym had sort of buried it for ethical and moral reasons.”

Said Stoll, “I’ve discovered my own version of [Pym Particles] and I’m using it for militaristic purposes. I’ve even started to use the technology myself, which as a sort of psychotic effect on people if they use it too much. I can’t get into the details of all the goodies of the Yellowjacket suit but it’s several generations advanced from what Ant-Man has. And then I put it on—and then I am Yellowjacket!”

- Daren Cross is a child prodigy, discovered by Henry Pym at a young age and mentored to help grow and evolve Pym Technologies.
- The shrinking, Pym Particles are something of a myth at Pym Technologies but Cross comes across evidence of their existence and demands that Pym handover the tech. Henry refuses out of ethical concerns.
- Cross is smart enough to create his own version of the technology but his version has drawbacks, mysterious "psychotic side effects."
Goody Two Shoes or Strip

They could have Scott play stand and deliver in his van seeing as he is a thief :cwink:

‘Ant-Man’ trailer attracts a giant-sized 29 million views

Who’s laughing now? EW can exclusively reveal that the teaser trailer for the Paul Rudd-starring Ant-Man has attracted 29 million global views since it debuted last Tuesday. According to Marvel, that’s a higher figure than the trailer premiere for last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy—which you may recall made a dollar or three at the box office. It’s a higher number of views than was garnered by the trailers for any Marvel film, excluding Iron Man 3 and the most recent Avengers clip.

I saw a news headline on Google earlier - stated something about bad reaction on twitter and "is this Marvel's first flop". I didn't it because it just garbage talk.

Does positive to negative reaction on social media really matter?

Does even the positive news of the 29 million views matter?

Doesn't mean people will go see it. Doesn't even mean those 29 million people liked what they saw.

What if Hank Pym was doing an experiment that went horribly wrong and Janet is stuck in the Microverse? I know it's a long shot, but it's better then just killing her off. Maybe she can appear in another movie other then this one (even though we have no idea who's playing her).

I'm looking forward to this movie now. It's great to see the M.A.N.T.I.S. design again!

The most negative is almost always the most vocal.

Exactly

People who enjoyed will think that was good, I'll see it when it's out

People who didn't tend to feel the need to tell everyone and anyone they personally didn't like a trailer, that the movie will suck, and that nobody else should enjoy it either

So people who enjoyed it won't tell anyone they should also check it out? Only the ones who were negative towards it. I've already told a few co workers about it, guys who love comic movies but don't generally know a ton about them.

29 million is great, more than GOTG which is shocking because there was some negativity towards that film as well, maybe not as much as Ant-Man though. Most important thing is that many people know Marvel is coming out with a new film.

I was just thinking the Yellow Jacket costume design reminds me a little of Doc. Ock, despite it being legs /arms instead of tentacles coming off the side. Love the design.

I'd very much dig it

Feels like Big Hero 6.

Which in effect would make it a ripoff of a Marvel story before it.
