Great poster, the circle reminds me of the Avengers "A" logo.

I think the fact they showing off 6 minutes in Imax screams confidence in the film to me.

Well that settles it. Tomorrow I'll be at the TCL Chinese IMAX matinee for Jurassic. I've already got my day off scheduled for Ant-Man's opening day.

I think Jurassic is going to be very, very big this weekend (hope it's good too) and IMAX showings are going to bring in a lot of paying customers. That's a great way to hype an upcoming movie and shows me that Marvel knows "exactly" what they're doing. I'd be shocked if the reaction was lukewarm and more shocked if Marvel didn't put together something very compelling. They've made very, very few missteps recently and I doubt they'll trip up on their marketing now.

I looked around and could find no negative or meh or any opinions about the trailer for that matter. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but there looks to be a pretty tight lid on this.

The 6 minute Imax preview attached to Jurassic is a great move by the studio and IMAX.

IMAX just cemented getting me to attend one of their theaters to see Jurassic 1st day. I'm sure I'm not the only one. It also has the potential to reach a lot of people who might not be that keen on or not know that much about Ant-Man, but really want to see Jurassic. From what I've heard, Jurassic looks put up some very, very strong numbers this weekend. Even if people are disappointed in Jurassic, Marvel has the opportunity to show them an exciting trailer.

yeah....definitely a smart move.

I get legitimately sad when I hear people say that the 6-minute preview is Marvel being desperate, because I so want this movie to do well.

not terribly well photoshopped, but they're fun

that russian poster though is amazing

Ohhh the new TV spot is so good.

Avengers reference by Scott!

Love those new Avengers posters, the Russian poster is awesome, as is the new trailer on Facebook. Today is an Ant-man day, apparently!

Clever.

Where are they saying this? This isn't some last minute plan by Disney's marketing team.

Here it is on Youtube, for those so inclined:

I don't think the Thomas the Tank bit is ever going to get old for me, every time it happens I can't help but smile/laugh :funny: Awesome spot :woot:

I have an idea......relax. Marvel is the furthest thing in the world from being desperate. Are they starting up their hype? Sure. We knew it was going to kick in soon. Do they do some cool and interesting marketing move before every movie to help it at the box office? Yes. That's their job.

We won't know how good the movie is going to be until we see it. Until then, have a good time and don't listen to naysayers. 99.99% of us don't know what we're talking about anyway and we don't know who the other .01% are so we might as well not listen to anybody.
