Love the posters and that new TV spot lol. Really thinking of seeing Jurrassic World tomorrow for them 6 minutes. Not sure how it's being desperate at all since I remember them doing something similar for TWS, I saw the whole elevator scene before the film was even out.

I'm actually super interested to see what Pym says after Scott says that they should call the Avengers. If he really hates heroes his answer should be interesting.

Really love their marketing strategy on these posters. Lets people know he's part of the Marvel universe but also showcasing what makes him so different.

Is there an early screening for this movie? I found a very favorable non spoiler review online and wonder if it is legit..

I believe there have been test screenings already. Do you have a link to that review? I'd like to read it

that is very favorable
hope the rest of the reviews follow suit

Sure..this is the link..very favorable review

Not familiar with this website, but there are a lot of movies reviewed on it as well as some box office numbers.

I'm not sure what you mean by legit, but it looks to me as though this person has written a lot of reviews, loves comics, and might very well have access to pre-screenings. That's just a guess.

No offense, but I question his taste:

On The Amazing Spider-Man:
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is better than Captain America: The Winter Solider. No mistake. "

Having reviewed over that site, I am actually thinking its just some movie fan guy like any of us with no industry connection or anything. All the reviews I skimmed are extremely general / generic, like someone has read up on the plot synopsis, watched the trailers, read some spoilers and put 2+2 together.. nothing to suggest they've actually *seen* anything off early test screenings or anything.

That said, I may be wrong and hope he is right.

ugh those tv spots just keep getting better and better

Just reading from other places and I'm confused but laughing. Do some people actually hate that they are mentioning the Avengers with these posters and in the film? Even see people bringing up "From the studio that brought you the Avengers" tag line lol. Didn't every GOTG trailer have that line and more?

I think it's awesome they're so connected. I understood why GOTG couldn't be this connected but Scott is an earth based hero living in a world where the Avengers are well known. Makes all the sense in the world why they're connected to his world.

Haha, I dig those posters. They remind me of some of the funnier Marvel comic covers.

There are people on Twitter and other sites saying these new posters are somehow a sign of desperation and lack of confidence. Personally, I thinks that's BS. It's smart marketing. Think about it. Ant-Man is going to become an Avenger. Wouldn't it make sense to play up the Avengers connection in that regard? I also think it's smart marketing because, let's face it, the name Ant-Man doesn't sound very appealing. I'm sure showing off the Avengers connection will intrigue people who otherwise would be turned off by the name and concept. Marvel knows this, and is being very smart with the way they are marketing this film. Like I said, this is in no way a sign of desperation. It's just smart marketing.

Agreed. It's easier to just say that Marvel Studios is SO desperate to sell "Ant-Man" to the general movie-going audience that it has to sell it with characters from the other Marvel films. Not true. If anything, this will make more people interested in the film. Marvel Studios knows how to market these films. They have been very, very success for years at doing this. I seriously doubt they are so afraid of putting "Ant-Man" on the big screen that they'll only sell it using other Avenger characters. "Ant-Man" is a side-sequel to the MCU. It's connected. It's smart to market it as another important link in this growing movie universe.

Why would Marvel even contemplate on making this film in the first place if they had no faith in it?:funny: Also those posters are sick!

This is definitely not a sign of desperation. They are just trying to tell the general audience that Ant-man is in the same league as the rest of the Avengers.

Captain America @CaptainAmerica
No shield? No problem. Marvel’s next big thing: @AntMan, in theaters July 17.

Here's the scary part. These fan-made posters are so much cooler and more appealing than that of the official ones. Not to mention both smart and creative... YES, they freaken are!

I really dig Phoebes Boyfriend! ;-) He's warmly welcome in to the Marvel universe.

This Marvel movie will stand out, just like GoTG did. Marvel knows what they're doing. I think this film will be the most impressive movie to see in IMAX 3D!!

And besides, Ant-Man will literally be in the same movie as those Avengers next year in CW.

Gonna admit, Ant-Man is now the movie I want to see the movie in the second half of summer. Those clever trailers and the stellar cast is making this a must-see for me.
