Ant-Man The Official Ant-Man News and Speculation Thread - Part 9

I'm still interested in finding out who Patrick Wilson, Kevin Weisman, Matt Gerald and Jordan Peele were cast as in Edgar's Ant-Man.

HOLY ****!! I loved Ant-Man! I''m so fricking excited! :woo :woot:

Sucks Cap Marvel, though. :csad:

Can't say Captain Marvel is destined to fail either way but Marvel don't seem to have very much faith in it since they keep putting it off further & further down the line now.

They pushed a film not due for another 3 years back less than a year. It has nothing to do with faith in the concept. It's just reorganizing a schedule.

The sequel news is great to hear. Glad my daughter is going to have another female superhero to dress up as.

Yes! GREAT NEWS!!!!
Phase 3 is fat!

I guess the 2020 movies will be STRANGE 2, GOTG 3 and a new property (FF?)

Yeah, while it sucks it was pushed back I think it has more to do with them still wanting Captain Marvel to lead into part 2 of Infinity War. Though the release date's been moved around twice it's always been scheduled in between both parts of IW, which suggests that the CM movie is planned to be an important tie-in for IW's story. And I wouldn't be surprised if she actually debuts in IW part 1, too.

But I'm really glad that the Ant-Man sequel has Wasp as co-lead and in the title. I can't wait to see her in action :woot: Also BP got pushed up

This is fantastic news. I'm really glad it's getting a sequel, and that the Wasp will be heavily featured as co lead.

Great news on the sequel, even more so that it's a co-lead movie with Wasp in the title! :jd:

I saw this coming.

I'm glad they're just embracing the title which could potentially sound a bit silly and goofy. If people thought Ant Man might've sounded B movie-ish, this one could sound even more so.

And why were people (not on here) upset that there wasn't going to be Wasp in MCU?

Fan Art manip of what the completed suit may look like.

Honestly I'm very happy about this. The movie, cast and crew deserve another shot.

Could be Spidey

If black panther is a success in feb we could see 4 movies a year. Ghost Rider, Blade, hopefully ff, ss. Some lesser known. Maybe even bw/fury origin (with a new actress). Old boys coming back. Iron man, cap, hulk.

If marvel keep hitting them out of the park the possibilities are endless.

I remember seeing val kilmer as batman and thinking superhero films had died. God it's good to be wrong.

I'm so glad that Marvel put Wasp in the title along with Ant-Man, suggesting that Lilly's Hope will be a co-lead not a supporting character. Sucks that Capt. Marvel has to be pushed back though.

If they don't have faith in it they don't have to make it, they're far enough out. Plenty of other properties that could take its place if Marvel really didn't believe in it.

Please, enlighten me as to how them shifting around release dates to accommodate another film shows a "lack of faith".
