I never really knew Armenian counted as white.

It depends whether you count Middle Eastern people as white or not.

Race is nothing more than a social construction anyway. When the apocalypse comes and we are all skinned alive by cannibal zombie ninjas, colour won't matter much anymore.

Since when does Cthulhu have cannibal zombie ninjas? And wouldn't cannibal zombie ninjas just feed upon one another?

That's the beauty of using cannibal zombie ninjas... NO CLEAN UP. :word:

Isn't cannibal zombie a redundant concept? They already eat other people.

Vegan zombies. Vegan gluten-free zombies, they just can't shut up about it.

The ninja aspect adds a whole other level, cuz if they were even half way decent ninjas they'd be slicing, dicing and eating each other and we'd never even know about it.

I love that gif so much, but this one was always my favorite.

DxdoS.gif

I know this is from Star Trek: TNG, but what exactly is going on in that clip?

I tried looking for the real clip on YouTube. I found a similar KFC-related video that linked to this...

The only crime Richard Sherman committed was being that loud next to a white woman...he should know better

What awesome black characters are there? Really? Let's be real about this....

edit:

I'm not saying there aren't any...

Well, I'm still waiting on a live-action "Static Shock" movie. Powerman Luke Cage is a definite character that could segway into the current Marvel Movieverse. Black Panther as well. I'd love to see a "Blade" reboot happen. With Amanda Waller making an appearances on the TV show "Arrow" I could see a spin-off w/ her leading an "Agents of SHIELD" esque show. Cloak and Dagger was a comic I liked as a kid in the 80's and could work. Albeit the weird interracial dynamic and how the Black dude has "Dark" powers and the White girl has "Light" powers might be too extreme for audiences.

Ijs, there's a decent amount of black characters choose from.

I hope Misty Knight shows up in Iron Fist. Misty is Danny Rand's main love interest

I haven't heard about this, but this sounds like a sports thing anyway.

I don't know, it was from a joke I heard from Donald Glover. He mentioned that Filipinos were the blacks of Asian people and Armenians were the blacks of white people, I didn't get that second one though.

Oh...I see. I have heard that before and I have heard that about Armenians. They are called the "blacks" of white people because they look white (mostly), but are Middle Eastern, which means they are never really accepted by whites. Since middle-easterns are now considered the new "blacks" (read the n-word) of the world it fits. :o

I have never liked that sort of joke/analogy because basically it's a dis against black folk. Though I'm not surprised people still use it. I've heard one of the worse insults you can give to a white person is compare them to a black person, or call them the n-word. Supposedly white folks get real offended by that.

I agree that there are a decent amount of black characters to choose from, but how many of them are really considered "awesome"? I hear this all the time in the BvS boards about film making and what not being a business. Hell! It took 20 years to get Superman back on film. Why should we expect a studio to invest millions of dollars in a black super hero that NO one except a few people (read black people) really know about? Also to be honest, I don't know any of the black Marvel stars. I think Mr. Terrific should get a movie, but I double anyone really knows who Michael Holt is...

Everyone who is cool knows who Black Panther is, and the Justice League cartoon has a surprising amount of people thinking that Green Lantern is black. Not to mention that Luke Cage is part of the kick ass Heroes for Hire, and everybody loves them. You hear me? Everybody.

Mostly because he's scarred to a crisp or always masked and thereby isn't viewed as black. :o It's like Killer Croc, I had no idea he was a brother for years.

You'd be surprised how many people did not watch Justice League or Justice League Unlimited and have NO idea who John Stewart is. Also I don't read Marvel. Never did. Marvel characters were too angst-y during the time I really read comics. Now I just don't care to read Marvel.

There's actually a video called "Killer Croc is a Black Man" with Dave Chappelle's joke about chicken.

Not unless they're young and w*****ish.

Oddly enough, whenever I'd watch Superman animated series I always thought they made Lex Luthor black.

Racist, IMO.:o

They have Heroes for Hire. Heroes for Hire is awesome! It's like if Chuck Norris and Jim Brown got together with Pam Grier and China O'Brien.

lol...I'll take your word for it. I missed the Marvel boat and now I'm okay not being on it...lol
