That's the album cover to Ice Cream Castle, which was released in July 1984. Lebron was born in December 1984. He was in the womb when that album came out.

I take it that was after Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were out of the group.

Dear Brothers,

Questions, three:

1. While riding the NYC subway everyday I've seen ads for the ABC sitcom BLACK~ish. Seeing the family of the show, dressed in neon colors that were rejected by the makers of the Huxtable's sweaters for being "not subtle enough" and caught in freeze frame, mid-laugh, all having a hearty chuckle, I must ask... Should I feel offended on behalf of African-Americans that such pandering still goes on in TV sitcoms?

2. Is it wrong that I can't help but think that the older man wearing a hat in the ads looks like Lawrence Fishburne?

3. Is that in fact, Lawrence Fishburne?

Sincerely,
KRYPTON INC.

Black-ish is an upcoming TV show created by a black comedian, starring black actors about a middle class black family whose father/husband figure worries about whether they're black enough. It's using comedy to highlight racial identity and stereotypes in the black community in America.

Why on Earth would you feel offended by it on our behalf?

And yes, that is Larry Fishburne.

Oh my Doctor lovin' friend, it just seems like an idea from the "edgy" early 90's is all, right down to the Fruity Pebbles colored attire they have them wearing, and then there's the name... I am Hispanic. I sure would give a second look at a sitcom titled "The Coconuts (Brown outside. White inside)", and if I was Asian a show called "Kinda Yellow" might give me pause, even if it was created by a comedian that was of my background. Just saying.

Damn... Larry Fishburne is getting work these days. I hope he doesn't have money problems.

Its obviously a satire.

If Anthony Anderson is the lead, it's a satire of a comedy. (rim-shot)

I kid. He's a solid dramatic actor.

I thought Sam Jackson was in that show.

No, MCD.

Ving Thames is the one that died right?

Ving Thames would be Idris Elba's screen name on the Hype.

Ricci is hot in a white trash way in general... So yeah. And wasn't that the point of the film? That she was this little Southern Fried nympho that Nick Fury is supposed to cure of her tramp behavior?

And somewhere in between was Justin Timberlake.
