No Martin in the UK?It's not really surprising though.Since I read that some studios refuse to release black TV shows and movies overseas, because apparently they think they wont make money in certain markets.
Yeah that does tend to happen.

Tyler Perry only started releasing movies in the UK in 2010. Its only in recent years that more African American comedians like Chris Rock have started touring the UK more as well.

Reginald D.Hunter is probably a name most Americans have never heard of but his a American comedian who is very successful in the UK.

Meanwhile, no one in America has ever heard of Lenny Henry. I only stumbled across him because I know about his (ex?)wife Dawn French from The Vicar of Dibley.

Most people in the UK try to forget Lenny Henry even exists his really annoying.

Dawn French did divorce him recentley. He cheated on her a bunch of times. Probably why Lenny did say nothing when she made out all those A-Listers like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp in her comedy stuff.

You ever see the terrible early 90s Hollywood movie Lenny Henry starred in called True Idenity?

Lenny plays a guy who dresses up in white face to escape the mob. Its like something Eddie Murphy probabably turned down.

His American Accent is hilariously bad

He had a brief cameo as a shrunken head in one of the Harry Potter movies too

Dear Brotha Man, how much of Django Unchained is it okay for a white person to laugh at?

Everything but the mandingo fight. You will get your ass kilt for that.

I noticed this especially with celebrities recently, how some black celebrities, will talk noticeably more urban when talking to other black people but change their diction when talking to white people.

Keeping it real for the black fan base while remaining non-threatenening for the whitey.

It's true. I saw it on Happy Endings. :o
