Man I wish they'd revisit this universe like they're doing with 66. The proposed comic art was great - the Harley and Batgirl designs REALLY matched the 89/92 aesthetic!!

Kim Basinger was the original choice for the role of Vicki Vale, but her agents wouldn’t let the producer meet with her unless he made her an offer. And then she “became busy.” So, Sean Young only got the role after Basinger essentially rejected it.

The internet rumor that Michelle Pfeiffer was offered or in serious consideration for this part seems to be made up by a fan.

Kim also convinced the filmmakers to expand her role in the movie. Originally, Vale wasn’t in the third act.

I remember seeing it for the first time on the big screen at the age of 6. It was the most magical memory of my life.

I saw Batman '89 and Batman Returns in cinemas when they first came out. Have to say I've always preferred Returns. The only Batman (in fact any CB) movie I'd put above it is The Dark Knight. My top 5 Batman movies are

1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman Returns
3. Batman '89
4. The Dark Knight Rises
5. Batman Begins

It's beautiful. I think the B89 suit is by far the best realisation of the all-black Batsuit. You need the yellow oval - the yellow and black blocking really pops. It works perfectly for Lego Batman, too.

The B'89 suit is a great design, no doubt. Funny, when Batman Returns came out I was upset they changed the suit (although I've always preferred BR as a movie). Nowadays I prefer the BR suit.

I prefer the more organic appearance of the '89 suit, but draw little distinction between the two. They each captured the key attributes admirably.

Which is why I don't care for any of the designs used for those games when it comes to Batman. I prefer my batman to not be an overly armored mess.
