Im still waiting for someone to get CONROY into some sort of Batsuit and just have him say some lines... or read the phone book ..or count to 5 in increasingly anger tone..ANYTHING..
he has the chin for the part.

You know, as much as I’d love to see Conroy do a live action role for Batman, I just don’t think he’d be able to pull it off well. He does have the chin, but I don’t think he has it in him.

Thanks to UK colloquialism... that scenes always sounds so wrong. :o

Wrong sounding Alfred, too. One of Clive Revill's handful of appearances. Couldn't hold a candle to Efrem.

While Efrem is definitely my favourite, I always thought Revill was pretty damn good too. He was particularly excellent in ''Nothing to Fear''.

Revill sounded off to me every time he spoke; I think I’ve become too used to Efrem, but every scene that has Revill I feel myself cringe a little.

Conroy could've totally played Batman in live-action in the late 80's/early 90's. I'm actually getting a Bale vibe from him here.

But is he a good actor?

Yes, of course he's a good actor. He was a Juliliard trained theatre actor and was mentored by the great John Houseman.

I think he could have managed a live action portrayal of Batman. :o

It was a genuine question. I dont know much about the guy or if he can act.

Clive Revill was playing up the stereotypical stiff British accent way too much, mostly at the insistence of the producers. I think that hammered his performance a bit, because it doesn't sound natural at all.

Still, it wasn't as bad as Phil Lamarr doing JARVIS on Avengers EMH

^^^ Great gifs from a terrific episode.

Happy 64th birthday to Mark Hamill. Very excited for his return as the voice of "the Clown Prince of Crime" in the upcoming TKJ animated movie.
