The Official Batman TAS Thread - Part 2

Yeah, the episode in which Batman really wanted to murder someone.

think its fun... quite a stock and dumb villian but rather underrated piece.

I thought the opposite; the villain was one of the more entertaining parts of the piece, but the episode overall is pretty below average for this show.

The concept was quite dark. A psycho enslaving and torturing little kids in filthy inhumane conditions in the sewers. No wonder Batman was tempted to kill him.

i think that atmosphere of the earliest episodes makes up for a lot of flaws in story or concept.

Has anybody ever been able to find Bruce Timm's original concept art before they went more with the Fleischer inspiration for the show or was that never published?

Dear Warner Home Entertainment,

Mask of the Phantasm special edition Blu-ray, pls. :o

Anybody else like the Clock King’s episodes? I thought they were great, it was a superb way of reinventing an obscure villain, plus I loved his voice actor.

I remember this game fondly, the levels were based off of various episodes from the animated series also the music was very much in line with Shirely Walker's style

Stage 1: Amused To Death
The Joker and cameo by Harley Quinn is a combination of episode "Christmas with The Joker" & "Be A Clown" the mini boss battle is with a (Toy Soldier Robot) and the Main Boss Battle with The Joker takes place aboard the twin Rollercoaster from amusement mile

Stage 2: No Green Peace
features Poison Ivy's henchwomen from "Eternal Youth" and the boss battle with Ivy's Venus Flytrap planet is from "Pretty Poison".

Stage 3: Fowl Play
The museum in which the story takes place seems to be the one featured in "I've Got Batman In My Basement" featuring The Penguin and his Vulture, The boss battle with Cobblepot features the raven stealth helicopter from the episode "Blind as A Bat".

Stage 4: Tale Of The Cat
This level is one episode centric The case sequence and fight between Catwoman & Batman is based off their first confrontation in "The Cat and the Claw Part I".

Stage 5: Trouble In Transit
The Title card featuring the Batmobile is the same one that was used in "The Mechanic" however the actual stage level driving on the streets of Gotham City in pursuit of Two-Face isn't reflecting of any episode since their wasn't an actual episode featuring a Batmobile chase sequence with Batman vs. Two-Face directly unless where counting "Two-Face II" (bat cycle) or "Second Chance" (batmobile).

Stage 6: Perchance To Scream
This stage is fully devoted to "Nothing to Fear" The first episode that introduced The Scarecrow, from the title card, to the blimp, the setting in the University with the citizens gased . Now the physical appearance of The Scarecrow is based off his re-designed look he received in his second appearance in "Fear of Victory".

Stage 7: Riddle Me This?
The level combines The two episodes featuring The Riddler, His first appearance in "If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Rich?" with the title card and the maze from "The Riddle of the Minotaur" slight difference is that Commissioner Gordan & Barbara are trapped at the center of the maze instead of Daniel Mockridge. The other episode is "What is Reality?" where the boss battle between Batman and Nygma is on a chessboard in a red virtual reality scene much like the episode itself.

Stage 8: The Gauntlet
This final stage begins with the title card of Batman upon the roof like the main title sequence intro before the lighting strike. The Stage level begins in a Warehouse near Gotham Harbor where the villains have gathered to takedown Batman, you go up against The Penguin & Scarecrow before you take on Clayface and basically reenact your fight from "Feat of Clay part II", next you face Catwoman in an construction site, at the rooftop you face-off against Man-Bat. Your final Boss battle is with The Joker who has his jet-pack from "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm".

Unfortunately I never got a chance to that game but it's cool how the makers adapted some of the adventures from B:TAS for the video game. Wish I had played it then. Sounds like it was a lot of fun to play.
