Golovkin is 34 years of age. He aint the future of crap.

You beat me to it! I like GGG but just kind of frustrated at how people are giving him a pass for not having any "serious" fights and dude is 34(or 33)like he has all the time in the world. If he fights Ward next year or even Canelo, people will say they waited until the monster got old. Sorry but that's why he should be going after these guys now.

So you're basically falling for a marketing campaign? The future of boxing are the guy's in the mid to early twenties.

Keith Thurman now there's a star of the next few years.

32-0, hasn't went the distance since 2008, 28 finishes in a row...

Ask Bernard Hopkins if age matters.....Keep doubting GGG.

Who said I was doubting him? in fact I've stated on occasions here that I'm a fan but he's 34 HE AINT THE FUTURE!

Oh and have a look at who's he fought? Majority of them are tomato cans too. His best win is against Martin Murray who's good but not world class level.

Monroe has heart! I give rounds 4 and 5 to him. GGG seems to throw a punch that hurts him occasionally but Willie seems to out box him. GGG's defense sucks. Dude gets hit at will!

Spoke to soon. :( Still don't see him beating Andre Ward.

At this point, I'd rather see GGG vs. Andre Ward over Canelo....

And that would be the most sick fight at this point.

GGG leaves himself wide open.Guys tend to hit him at will. The only problem is that guys can't take his shots. Canelo seems to have a strong chin but still tends to get really tired. Ward maybe the only guy who can take him out......unless GGG faces Lara which would be interesting.

Bernard Hopkins says age matters and is the reason he lost to Calzaghie. You can still be good when you're older but after your peak the decline starts and never stops. No boxer already mid 30s is going to be the future.

HBO Boxing followed by Game of Thrones Episode....Life is good.

Chocolatito Gonzalez is the real deal, he put on the best performance of the anyone that fought these past 3 weeks. I hope he fights Inoue, I'm almost positive that would produce a war of little men since the likes of Carbajal/Chiquita Gonzales of the early 90s.

Lara? Let me guess why :whatever:

I've told you time and time again, Lara is ass, he had the biggest fight of his career and instead became Usain Bolt. He was afraid of Canelo's shots and in the Angulo fight, Angulo had him down and almost out. Now imagine a GGG fight for a second. It would only go TWO ways, 1. Lara runs for dear life the entire fight and cries robbery, or 2. GGG knocks his head off. Lara has NO shot at beating GGG.

Tell me why? Is it because he's black? Again, you are the only person who brings race into this when NO ONE has brought it up. What does me wanting to see guys who call out GGG(Ward and Lara)fight him and give them chances of beating him pertain to race? It's always the person who screams against gays who tend to wear more panties than most women.

Besides your racist reach, I actually do agree with this. I really believe Ward gives him the most problems simply because of style. Canelo would definitely be the most exciting but I question his conditioning, always have and always will until I see different.

But nobody is as skilled at in-fighting right now as Ward, and nobody's even attempted to do it for very long against GGG. I think it would throw him off, to have someone in his face trying to rough him up on the inside when he's used to having to cut the ring off and trap guys. He also gets hit a whole lot, not saying Andre is a knockout artist, but he's definitely strong enough to get his attention.

And of course the weight, it's not much of a difference but we all know most boxers see at least some of their power decrease at a higher weight. I assume if they ever do fight, it'll be at Super MW, I can't see Ward making any concessions, even if he probably should to get this payday...

Yes, because you're the most biased poster on this site, as asinine as Doc Samson's posts are most of the time he's unbiased, you on the other hand.

And No Lara has absolutely NO shot at beating GGG or even making it competitive.

Although the sadistic part of me would like to see GGG beat the crap out of Lara.

Anyway, we agree to disagree. We will see come May 2nd. You win this debate. I give up. I'm done for tonight. Insult me as much as you like.

On a side note you posted this quote a few weeks back

You really have no clue as to what you're talk about huh?

The thing is if Lara and Golovkin fought I can see Lara running for a bit trying to get a point decision somehow but WHEN Golovkin connects multiple times it's light's out.

GGG isn't the future BUT he's gonna be absolute terror for the bigger guys for the next 5-7 years. Ward is the only fighter that can truly hang with him.

You damn right Jr shouldn't fight Golovkin, Sr. It's not just about size. It's about his freaking power.

I don't know why I even answer Iron Stark. My gawd man, I try and have a decent discussion with dude and he turns into something completely out of left field!

I agree, I think GGG would beat Lara but I also think Lara would give GGG problems. I also believe that some, if not most of GGG's camp believes that as well because they want no part of it. They'd rather fight cab drivers than give Lara a chance. Lara is a big name on GGG's belt should he beat him. He says there's no money in fighting Lara but was there money in fighting Monroe? There wasn't and neither is there any prestige in it either. Lara will give GGG that should he win.

I don't know about that. He's 33 about to be 34. Dude may have 4 years max. I don't knock him at all for being active. I just knock him for his title of "the most feared man in boxing" and then turning around and straight ducking guys who call him out. Again, I think he'd beat Lara but with him being afraid of fight him and using the high risk, low reward excuse lets you know there is some doubt there.

GGG will last longer than 4 years.... So much power... Forget about it.

Lara will not give him any kind of problems, NONE whatsoever.

Monroe was a mandatory, plus a slick boxer, the kind that GGG haters have been saying he's been avoiding.

Lara brings nothing to the table, nothing at all.

Hopkins was 36 when he got his first mega fight with Trinidad back in 2001. It's not like GGG's an old 33 or someone who's already been in wars. Dude has Canelo, Cotto, Ward, and others as options.

And when the hell has he or his team come out and said he's afraid to fight Lara?

Like I said in my previous post, you have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

I do think Erislandy Lara is a badass. He gotten a bad rap lately because he fought Canelo scared. But that was a case of good Canelo, not bad Lara. His war with Angulo was beautiful, and he deserves credit for the way he was able to take care of business in that one. I think GGG will figure him out, but it will be a good scrap. Especially considering that Cotto is scared to death of Golovkin and De La Hoya wants to make Canelo wait.

Dirrell V Degale tonight for the IBF Super Middleweight title.
