I don't think making a rap video suggests he's undedicated. A man can have hobbies. He's always in shape when he's in the ring.

Anyway, speaking of rap music, there are rumors that Meek Mill smashed a champagne bottle over Floyd Mayweather's head this past weekend...

1) You are absolutely right that a man has hobbies. I just think it's kind of a coincidence that he has started to look bad in the ring once that video came out.

2) Meek Mill seems to be on the warpath if that is true. But I kind of don't believe that though. Floyd's security team is pretty fast and tight and I doubt he could get to him that quickly with them around.

Meek should smash a champagne bottle over his own head for losing a battle to the sweetest rapper out. And he comes from the battle culture at that, highly disappointed in that man smh...

Lil Wayne says hello. Nothing says sweeter than a guy in skinny jeans or a skirt. :o

Well, close 2nd then. And at least Wayne didn't come out that way, he's been around long enough to go crazy.

It is scary how mediocre he now looks.

He's a completely different fighter than the one that fought Mattysse. It's like that win went to his head, and he got lazy and got worse, while Lucas looks like he dedicated himself more or learned from that loss and has been getting better.

He's like a quiet Broner now. You guys saw his rap video about women with big butts? I don't know why athletes these days don't really dedicate themselves to their craft. They go all into left field and get caught up with crazy things. I know the video is kind of old but it's crazy how these guys seem to let the money go to their heads. It's no wonder some of these guys are boxing until they are 50 years old.

smh, yep same as Broner, he had a couple of good wins and paydays and got lazy and fat.

I also remember Panchito Bojado did the same thing about 10 years ago, beat Cotto in the amateurs, very talented, was supposed to be his rival, got a few good wins, got HUGE hype only to squander it with women, booze and partying. Wasted potentialm and that's where Garcia is heading.

Broner was never that good. He bullied smaller fighters. He doesn't have the power of defense to do that to skilled guys his own size. Garcia earned his wins, but there was definitely some luck to his two big wins.

I'll watch Mayweather/Berto. The next weekend on Showtime.

I hope that fight is not on ppv. That makes no sense. I'm hoping the rumors of him fighting on tv for free are true. He picked the wrong time of year for an easy fight.

It is PPV. I don't know what the hell Floyd is thinking, but he's in for a rude awakening when those numbers come back.

Floyd will be fine. Showtime has to pay him a certain amount no matter what.

Still better then Manny's fight before Floyd. :funny:

Algieri? Nah Berto is worse. At least Algieri beat Provodnicov who at best should've gotten a draw or win vs Bradley.

Berto hasn't had a significant win in years. He got TKO'd by Soto Karas for crying out loud!

Can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with Iron Stark. Manny has that HBO excuse who has a limited stable. Floyd doesn't. I'd rather him fight Khan. Part of me wants to see him fight Thurman but I don't think Thurman realizes how badly he would get beaten. I think Floyd would straight school him and maybe that's why Hayman doesn't want the fight to take place right now.

Nobody is buying that fight.

I don't think Floyd wanted to put it on PPV, but he has that contract and he needs to honor it. Regardless, while I agree Berto is undeserving, Floyd's fought pretty much everyone else you guys wanted.

I didn't see anyone saying Khan would be dangerous (except for me and maybe Doc) so let's not start whining about that now. Thurman & Porter, I didn't hear too many people clamoring for them to get a shot until Berto was announced, so it is what it is.

Yeah but at least put it on CBS. Superbowls and other top sporting events make a ton on free tv. I remember after the McNeely fiasco, Tyson had a fight on Fox to give back to the fans. And it was a huge deal.

Oh well, I'm not going to cry and moan about it, I won't be buying it and even the ardent Floyd fans know this isn't worth buying.

Edit.

Doc Sampson, I agree, I'm pretty sure Floyd wouldn't have minded it being on CBS, he's even talked about it before, this time it's all on that snake Espinosa and Floyd's handlers Haymon and Ellerbe

Dawson wasn't the same since he lost to Ward. Weight draining a fighter does a lot to the body. Didn't think Dawson realized that.

Fight on tomorrow night. Tarver vs someone on Spike TV.

Oh Tarver, please retire.

It's on!!! Cotto vs Canelo!! Apparently Cotto's going to get a more substantial payday than Canelo. But Canelo got the fight in Vegas. I can't wait!
