This is it. Some are all for it and others have major concerns about what this means for sport etc. But EVERYONE is watching it!

I'm going to watch it for damn sure. I needed a big sports event in the summer to look forward to. To be honest, the events leading up to the fight will be 100x better than the fight itself. 50% of the people will be watching for the upset that the majority of people know isn't going to happen. And McGregor knows this too. But I'll take a loss for a huge payday.

Ward v Kovalev 2 tonight guy's .Who you got? I'm going for Ward by UD.

Also Rigondeaux is on the undercard tonight.

This Mayweather and MacGregor thing is the first time I've seen someone blatantly take a dive before the ****ing fight.

Also Rigondeaux is on the undercard tonight.

It's on Sky Sports 1 at 2am if I recall for those that are interested & from UK.

I think Kovalev's going to take him this time, he started well in their first bout but gradually faded as the fight went on & Ward came back into it.

I like both guys, very talented boxers the pair of them, disappointingly though I've seen very little promotion for the fight over here through the TV or media which is kinda sad.

Kovalev might be a thuggish, racist brute, but he can certainly punch. I don't believe he's improved his conditioning that vastly however, so if it gets past 6 rds, Ward with the decision.

I'm probably staying up for it. Seen no promotion for it really.

Got Ward by KO. Why you ask? I think Kovalev is going to come out hard early and give it all he got like an idiot due to his rage. I see him getting really winded around the 7th and to exhausted to continue. If the rumors are true coming out of his camp about him verbally abusing his trainer, how can you possibly give your all to someone you don't listen to or respect?

There is always a chance Conor get's lucky. But honestly, I am just curious how long Floyd lets it go. Does he want to punish Conor? Beat him up? 10 ounces gloves should make it interesting.

If Conor gets lucky, Floyd will have to duck. This guy has no chance whatsoever. People are saying UD? Maybe. When has Conor had to go 12? This isn't going to be a fight. I'd watch it though.....:cwink:

Ward is dull, but very good. Kovalev is very good.

Folks, watch Lomachenko's next fight if you want to see a P4P best. I hear he'll be fighting Salido again (saw the first one) and, if true, Orlando will be getting a decent payday....that's it.

PPV for Ward/Kovalev??? I wouldn't order HBO for a month for that unless I had to catch up on Game of Thrones.

Not sold on Lomachenko. Dude has only had like 12 fights and lost one. Some how he got a championship fight after 2-3 fights. If that doesn't say someone is pulling strings, I don't know what is. Sorry but Ward's resume dwarves anything GGG or Lamochenko has done. How these 2 are rated above him and Kovalev is beyond me.

Floyd is knocking him out. My only question is how long does he let it go first.

Lomachenko might be my favorite current fighter. Also because of his odd career, also the only father I have seen every fight for. :funny:

Can't wait for him to be challenged, and not in the, "I hit you in the nuts 20 times" sort of way.

Arias looked good there.

Didn't catch the name of the guys in the last fight but that was dominant by the winner. And this one could be interesting. 8 inch height difference (5'3 vs 5'11) and the smaller man a southpaw! Don't come up against that in training too often lol.

Yeah....someone is pulling strings. Two time gold medalist at the Olympics and won about 400 fights, lost one, and twice beat the one person who topped him. As a former amateur boxer, I can tell you that this record is absurd. 3 rounds means you have to basically win everything or else chance losing a bout. Odds are you lose several fights out of 400 simply because of bad luck; esp against the caliber of fighters Lomachenko fought as an amateur.

You don't have to be sold on him and you never know what's going to happen in a match where truly good fighters face off (Floyd and Conor is not an example of this), but watch this guy. He comes at people from so many different angles that he is virtually impossible to defend. I saw the first Salido fight. As I recall, Salido came in overweight and I KNOW he should have had several points deducted or been disqualified.

Was it a learning experience for Lomo? I'm guessing the answer is yes and what he does to Salido, if that guy steps in against him again, is going to border on criminal. This guy, while a mature fighter, has very little pro experience....and is the rare bird who was good enough to go against top flight pros without it. Now, he's been through the ropes enough and has improved enough that virtually anyone who stands across the ring from him is going to be embarrassed.

To even be considered one of the best after 10 or so fights is basically unheard of. This guy is SO good. Keep an eye on him and tell me if you change your mind.

EDIT: Better yet, if you haven't seen his very recent fights, watch them.

I've seen him. I've seen him KO Walters, which I thought he would lose. But to be #1 P4P, I'm sorry he can't just jump rank without fighting anyone like that. I've said the same thing about Chocolato or however you spell it and darn near stand on it about GGG. Canelo has a much better resume than these guys. I even say the same thing about Thurman. Also, 300 amatuer fights is nothing compared to 300 pro fights. Ward hasn't lost since he was in Jr. high, won the super six, beat a couple of top P4P fighters, went up in weight and beat the Light Heavyweight champion but yet still can't pass a guy who has only fought in the same division his entire career and has yet to face one P4P fighter.

And as far as pulling strings, HBO is known for creating superstars.

NSAC so corrupt not ruling a NO Contest after that shot clearly after the bell and after 3 head holding shots.

The Mexican dude was milking it to be fair. And after all that Rigo wins.

Haha 1st round KO by the 5'3 guy! Guillermo Rigondeaux. But seems very controversial as they took ages to confirm it. Must have been due to the legality of the last few punches but I couldn't tell as I've got to watch with the sound off.

Ward's very, very good.....one of the best and one of my favorites but he doesn't have the toolbox Lomachenko has. If Arum (ie THE scumbag) had anything to say about it, the Salido fight wouldn't have been refereed the way it was. That was ridiculous. I get that you don't think someone should be able to leapfrog others without being tested and I understand that, but you aren't better because you've been around a long time or been tested (in fact I'm curious how Lomo will react if caught by a bomb). You're good because you're good. I think Lomo is THAT good. I've been wrong before, but I can't think of the last time I've seen someone with that kind of talent.

BTW, of course, 300 amateur fights isn't the same as 300 pro fights. No one could go through the pro grind 300 times (or, more closely, 400) and win virtually every single time; let alone live, BUT amateur pedigree does mean something and Lomo has done what virtually no amateur has done. Keep an eye on him.

Lomochenko has his limits though. He thinks he can keep gong up weights and not get hit by bigger and heavier guy's? Nah, his limit is maybe 140lbs tops.
