This was the scene that told me this will be a great movie. You can see both the frustration with being so weak and the resilience to overcome it in his face. Thats probably the best 2 seconds of acting i've ever seen from Evans. In the scenes after the serum he really surprised me with the way he captured the innocence and good-naturedness of the kid Steve Rogers was before he became a super soldier. Very impressive performances just from the trailer. I like Atwell's no-nonsense demeanor too.

Erskine was perfect.

Almost positive First Avenger will blow Thor out of the water, but hoping Thor surprises me with epicness.
I agree. That quick 2 second scene stood out the most for me when I viewed the spot for the first time.

Wow, are you personally hurt and offended when somebody says something bad about Thor?

*sigh*...You missed the whole point I was trying to make and I no longer even care about making it anymore, it's not even that important.

I gotta say that to me, both Cap and Thor look AMAZING. I can't wait for them to come out and I'm not giving higher expectations to either one. I'm just looking forward to two great films from Marvel. I like Kennith Branagh and I like Joe Johnston. It's gonna be a good summer.

It's a shame that comic books fans can't just be comic book fans. They have to be MARVEL only fans or DC only fans or BATMAN only fans or SPIDER-MAN only fans....I thought we were COMIC BOOK fans.

It's sad really, it gets annoying too

Yeah it's a shame there has to be a competition between them all.:csad:

Hence my sig, C. Lee.

Had it for a while in the hope that it rubs off on people.

Well to be honest Thor's been around for a heck of alot longer than He-man. To ME He-man copied many aspects from Thor and Marvel.
Each are their own movie.

It's not even that. It's that someone can't like one Marvel movie more than another or look forward to a Marvel movie more than another because it's Marvel. Not to mention the very idea that Thor could possibly be a bad a movie is laughable to him. It can still very much go either way. He seems almost appalled by the fact someone thinks Thor looks like crap. I disagree but it's still someone's right to not find any of the trailers or commercials appealing.

You're still on that huh? You obviously didn't even bother to read the entire post :(

Let me explain to you the main point of my post, even though it was three pages ago (since you want to press the issue). I was only saying that someone repeating that they think something looks bad over & over...& over...& over is very useless.

Oh, and yes I do think it's laughable (sue me) that someone thinks Thor is bad when it's shaping up to be exactly what a movie about Thor should be. I thought I made it clear that I don't have a problem with someone saying something bad about Thor, it jus gets old when someone complains about the same movie in every other post (now "good day" sir).

*drops the subject*

I don't know about his or your view,But there's no actual possibility of Thor or anything in general being good or bad!....It's all OPINIONS and not actual FACTS!!

I was actually replying to someone else. You replied to me. I read your entire post. I read I See Spidey's posts. I read the entire thread. It entertains me. I See Spidey only mentioned her opinion on the subject when it was brought up. Reading your posts the impression I got was "How can anybody say Thor looks bad and Captain America looks good? They're both Marvel. That cannot be." Just because a movie is shaping up to be a perfect depiction of a character doesn't mean that everybody is going to like it. That's the point I was focusing on. It really is a matter of opinion and the subject was 3 pages ago (like that means anything on the hype with how fast these threads move. 3 pages might as well be 3 hours) so I'll forget it but if someone replies to me about it, expect me to reply back. Yes it's discussing your post but you don't have to reply.

Sorry... don't mean to interrupt the debate here, but going back a few posts:

This description sums up my love for pre-serum Steve Rogers. I loved watching Steve crawl through that training course, albeit briefly. Chris played it with a hard frustrated, but determined look. Got some goosebumps watching everyone else plow forward, but this scrawny kid was giving his all just to keep going. To me, that is Steve Rogers. Also, that little moment right after Peggy shot at the shield, with Steve's eyes peeking over it all incredulous and shocked. Pretty much perfect.

And Haley Atwell... I've been gushing about her everywhere. I've seen alot of other geek chick sites that loved the spirit that Atwell's giving Peggy. And I can't talk enough about the awesomeness that is Tucci. The man should be more of a household name.

Whoever described this as a stealth cast in terms of quality nailed it on the head.

Okay... this may have been my 200th post. Now can I include an avi???

*clutches head* Mommy and daddy, stop fighting!

also, subscribed! :p

Can't you see you're tearing this family apart!!

Exactly. Fans don't understand that if movies based on superheroes or comic books do well, it will only help the genre as a whole, and fight against stigma that this is just a fad that will be going away soon. I may not like all the superhero movies, but I do hope all of them will do well (unless they are terrible movies like Halle Berry's Catwoman or Shaq's Steel...bleh).

I agree. I use to just read Batman comics mainly, I still have love for all of them, even if I don't know as much. I'm stoked for Thor Capt, and GL this year. I guess I'm odd like that but I'm stoked to see em all.

I wish I could neg the thread manager.

Right there. Before even seeing the moving gif, I rewound those 2-3 seconds about a dozen times on youtube. Thats why he becomes Captain America, and thats why every hero on earth would follow him into the depths of hell.

This movie is going to be awesome. That is all.
