Is it wrong for me to say that I liked Kevin in "The Bodyguard"?
not at all!

CBM.... I think I'll wait until someplace reliable confirms it.

Ok, there is a list of actors whose work I can't stand, and Kevin Costner is near the top of that list. So I find it completely baffling that I actually kinda like the idea of him as Pa Kent. Weird. I guess this is one of the few roles I think he'd be well-suited for.
Perry White on the other hand? Hell no.
t:LOL, you wouldn't be alone. Costner had a pretty big following back in the day. I think this is pretty good casting for Pa Kent -- credible big name actor with solid acting credentials and could tap into an older demographic (Hi Mom and Dad)
Does anyone know how credible a source is Latino Review?
I like it, it's very similar to the casting of Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben. Former stars to help pad the unknown leads is common practice in these types of films. Snyder continues to fascinate me with his casting choices. Many of them are so left-field or unexpected, but turn out to be inspired casting.Strikes me as odd casting. I know he hasn't been a true A-lister for a long time, but he's still an awfully big name for Pa Kent.
http://***********/Latinoreview/status/39857128608894976I remember when WB told me to take down the David Goyer story about him writing Superman & look how that turned out![]()
It turns out that maybe..just maybe Latino Review's story of 'Goyer writing the script about Brainiac and the Krypotian Mythos' might be true after all

I hope so, since WB got p*ssed off about that too. hehe.
I think Brainiac needs the loving.

I feel exactly the same way. If it turns out that he actually nabbed the Jor-El role, I'll be highly pissed.
I highly doubt that. Physically, he's so perfect for Jonathan Kent, they'd be idiots to cast him as Jor-El. I'd think they would cast someone a little closer to Henry Cavill's physical appearance for Jor-El, and Costner looks nothing like Cavill.
And you know who could pass for Cavill's father:

Funny if they cast all the Kryptonians as British and all the humans as Americans.
