We have casting threads for the Superman and the two main supporting characters (Lois and Lex) why not a thread for all the other members of Superman's cast? I have some young ideas:

I like Shawn Ashmore as a Jimmy Olsen direction. I think he looks the part to a tee and doesn't come off as outrageously boyish but yet, commanding as a photographer for the Daily Planet.

Jimmy should be intern age aka 19-21/22 at most. JG-L is way too old for that age range.

Bleh no thanks. Bland Iceman plus bland twin brother as Jimmy in Smallville = no.

I never get why people try to cast previous Supermen as one of his fathers(ex. Dean Cain[L+C] or Mark Harmon[JL:COTE] as Jor-El or Jonathan Kent. Seriously, if Christopher Reeve was still alive, people would have cast him too, despite being a legend as Superman.

well usually supermans look similar. they should have the characteristics of tall, black hair, blue eyes, good looking. fathers and sons can look alike too. so by having the previous supermans, you kind of get that similar look/feel like a father son should have. plus, it's a nice homage to see them again without them portraying superman. in the superman animated series, you had jor el looking a bit like superman. christopher reeve's look a lot like brandon routh, so it would have been cool to see christopher reeve be jor el instead of marlon brando. it's almost like a passing of the torch type deal. but thats just my take on it.

Well, for what it's worth, I didn't even know that Harmon did a voice in JL:COTE (I don't watch many cartoons). Also, I wouldn't consider someone voice-acting a part in the same category as someone who physically played it onscreen. I haven't seen anyone suggesting Dean Cain for anything on here.
