Dana Delany as Martha Kent (or is that just too much?)

You can't cast Dana as Martha Kent. Because Martha should not be hotter than Lois. And Dana WOULD be, no matter who was cast as Lois.

LOL, just kidding. Dana is a great choice, actually. She's a Supermilf.

was watching a biography on clive owen and they were talking about how he prefers to play his characters as the strong, silent type. he actually asked to have some of his lines cut, and prefers to convey his characters with his face... i don't really see lex luthor as giving people the silent treatment.

It would be weird for anyone who has watched STAS. She voiced Lois and she was perfect in it. If she's cast it would be kind of weird hearing her distinct voice coming from Martha.

rachel weisz - lara-el

That is an inspired choice. I always thought that Weisz looked motherly and cute and i think that she'd shine in the role. I dont know most of the other guys you cast though.

They really do need to cast Caviezel as Jor-El. That would almost be as perfect as Cavill as Supes. And Caviezel was already considered for Supes himself, so it's a dead given.

They also kinda share some of the same delicate and emphasized facial features.

Pair Caviezel up with Lena Headey as Lara and you've got the perfect Jor-El and Lara.

Many of these suggestions have been proposed by others on this board. I'm just pulling together my favorites. I'd love to surround a relative newcomer like Henry Cavill with a lot of Academy Award winners/nominees, which is pretty much what occurred in the original Superman film with newcomer Christopher Reeve.

If ZS is reusing Watchmen actors, I wouldn't mind Billy Crudup as Jor-El. He's got the same jawline as Cavill and could pass as his father.

A lot of actors could work for Jonathan Kent. Certainly Costner would be just fine.

I love Crudup, and their jawline is uncannily similar, but if Billy does any Jor-El voice-overs, all I'll hear is the MasterCard priceless commercials LOL

I wouldn't mind him as Perry or Lex too. Him as Jor-El would be bizarre though.

BUT I was hoping for an older actor for Pa Kent and hoping for them to be 'grandparent' figures like in 95% of Superman mediums.


He played a mid-western Jonathan Kent type in "Field of Dreams" anyway. I'd be okay with this. Not as amazing as Glenn Ford though.

I don't think we'll be getting the 'God' Jor-El disembodied in an Ice Fortress.

It's been done to death.... and it sounds like Clark is an international freelance journalist overseas as opposed to training in the Fortress.

So nothing to worry about there.
