The Official Colossus/Daniel Cudmore thread

Of course I know they would die :), but I didnt expect it to happen so soon. I think if the movie had been better, more people would have stuck around for a bit.
Worry not. Happens all the time.

Crimson and I have to keep reviving our respective character's threads. :(
Worthy, I admire your courage. Keep it up and you shall get a cookie.

... since when did colossus ever banged?
Since he humped Kitty so hard that she phased through the bed and into the downstairs living room in Astonishing X-Men #14.

^ HOLY....

hmmm a 3way...ugh...stop putting vivid images in my head...

oh Jean...save me.

You're way too obsessed with Jean/Famke and Cyclops, Andrew. You need to start experimenting with other X-characters. :)

Retro I don’t think that any of the Colossus fans in this thread who are/were hoping for a Col vs. Juggs fight seriously would have wanted a randomly inserting fight scene to replace an important transition scene such as the chase between Kitty and Juggernaut. We just are a bit disappointed that the scene did not take place as were hoping for, and also because of how poorly Colossus was handed in X3.
I know that.

It is a little unfair to compare a scripted and wonderfully shot chase scene with a non-existent Colossus vs. Juggernaut scene because we have no footage to compare the latter with. Depending on how it was carried out, I do not see why it could not have conveyed the same effects.
True.

In the Art of X3 book theres some pics of the face mask Daniel Cudmore wore, some storyboards of the danger room sequence (appears shirtless) and concept art sporting a different costume. In all of them Colossus hair is black in metal form.

Could you scan them, please?

^^Maybe. I'm not sure if it's okay to scan a book and post it here.

Oh, I understand.

How come? The movie's already been released and everything.

I imagine that a scanned pic from a book would still fall under the Fair Use category. After all, I don't imagine you'd be scanning the entire thing for all of us to see for free. :D

Well the book isn't cheap and i'd imagine that the publishers wouldn't be too pleased with the thing ending up on the web.Just a thought.

Maybe a couple pics won't hurt.:)

Just scanned this page from The Art Of X-Men The Last Stand.

Wow. Thanks, Retro.

Looks like they painted his metal hair black.

And in post production for some strange reason they decided to make it all steel colored again.

They should've left his hair alone. Like in X2. It makes him look more organic and realistic.

Yeah, it looks stupid when his whole body turns into organic steel and his hair get's a protective metal coating.

Thanks for the scans retro ...they just didnt know how to leave well enough alone sigh...........

The movie's quality would have little to do with how many people would keep posting here...

The drop-off is about the same here as it was after X2 was out for a few weeks..

I wonder if you would say that if his hair was that way in the comics and if others agree... :O

Though I was not an active user after X2 was released, I lurked around the hype and I did notice that more people seemed to have been posting at the time. Not saying it was a huge amount, but more than post X3. I think that people in general were more excited post X2 than post X3.

A lower quality film in my opinion does not hold as much interest as a spectacular one. Sure there are exceptions depending on the genre among many other things. C'mon now how many people stuck around on a Gigli message board after it bombed........ok bad example lol
