Though I was not an active user after X2 was released, I lurked around the hype and I did notice that more people seemed to have been posting at the time. Not saying it was a huge amount, but more than post X3. I think that people in general were more excited post X2 than post X3.

A lower quality film in my opinion does not hold as much interest as a spectacular one. Sure there are exceptions depending on the genre among many other things. C'mon now how many people stuck around on a Gigli message board after it bombed........ok bad example lol

The effect looked fine...It just wasn't something that everyone was used to. The shiny/metal hair kinda makes more sense to me realistically, despite the inconsistencies...

His hair, although black, always was metallic in the comics (in X2 as well). It would seem a little problematic to consider the physics behind the reasons why his hair would be a different shade of metal than the rest of his body, so, I guess that it would be more realistical to "portray" his hair as being made up of the same exact armor. I mean, the movie made sure that this was clear when the flying debris bounced off Colossus' head in the DR scene.

Here's an interesting follow-up question, is there an issue/picture of Colossus with a normal mustache or beard while transformed?

I've seen him with a Pony Tail, crew cut, and flat top, I think I may have missed the bearded or mustached Colossus.

I think the effects looked fine, his hair really wasn't black though. Makes me wonder when the FF2 movie comes out, will SS look just like Colossus?? OR vice versa? Point is, I wish they spent a little more time on Colossus.

Colossus may have a hormone problem given that he is unable to grow hair anywhere on his body save for the top of his head.

Maybe Wolver-the movies are all about me-ine could lend him some of his musk riddled body hair.

Well Colossus`s hair in the movie isnt my big complaint at all...my big complaint is he was never developed in X3....He was just wolverine`s throw machine...Cudmore had so much potensional ( sorry about my spelling i`m tired) as Colossus and Fox threw a great character down the drain...No one would have complained about Colossus had he a few more lines and a fight with Juggernaut
