Also, The Wrath of Khan was one of the few sequels to be made on a much lower production budget than the film that preceded it.![]()

Warning: This is a Star Trek injoke.
Star Trek wise, you should also check out First Contact and Generations... they're REALLY good one IMO.Showtime029 said:I haven't seen it either but I have been told by many to check it out. I don't know what it is with me and sci-fi. I am almost afraid of it.

It's far better than the first one in story and characterization, and it has much more action than the first one, but the first one is more epic in its visual scale and FX.The Sage said:And it's considered better than the movie that preceeded it?

Showtime029 said:I am sure if Singer and company wanted to consult with one of the comic writers it would be their progative. WB wouldn't force that upon them, if they give them the keys again, they are driving.
Usually if the writers are attached to a director, the writers are attached to the director. Again, I think they did a good job with the script. I read many a script and I thought Returns was quite enjoyable.
There are instances where they have another writer come in to clean up a script if they aren't satisfied but that wasn't the case in this situation. WB was satisfied with the script, WB was satisfied with the movie and it's direction. What they were unsatisfied with was the box office.

I get where you're coming from, what i meant was as a consultant, someone whose brain they could pick on a section of the Superman universe they seem unfamiliar with
Ten in total. Six with the original crew (Kirk, Spock, etc.) and four with the Next Generation crew (Picard, etc.).Showtime029 said:How many of them are there? JJ Abrams (Alias, Lost, Mission: Impossible III) is attached to produce and direct the eleventh Trek film, which will aim to resurrect Star Trek from its current malaise.
Some think that Singer has already drawn on The Wrath of Khan in Superman Returns. In The Wrath of Khan the villain gets his hands on something called the Genesis Device - a terraforming device (which can be a devastating weapon in the wrong hands) that creates a new ecosystem by destroying the old one. Sound familiar?
GreenKToo said:I wonder if singer's ego would let him do that,I mean he seems to think he knows superman pretty well.I mean no disrespect to him either.

oh, okay then...GL's Light said:That's how he controlled Chekov and Captain Terrell.
In my opinion, you need to see 2,3 and 4 as they are somewhat a trilogy. But I'd put my money on seeing Wrath of Khan (part 2), Undiscovered Country (part 6) and First Contact (part 8). They are the best of the best, IMHO.Showtime029 said:Wow 10 Star Treks? Thanks Hunter and GL. I might have to get involved in watching them. Sounds like I might enjoy them.
That Spiderman poster shows the love that Raimi has for Superman.
