I can still hate the new look in the movie and comic and still be a Superman fan. It's not that difficult a thing to wrap one's head around. Besides, he'll be back in his old costume in a year or two, these things never last long. Just like all the things that got erased in the original crisis that came back.

Well yes, I didn't actually expect a fatality to occur from the phrase. It's just a very condescending tone directed at those that don't share a formed opinion. I don't see what's wrong with just leaving them be.

The adapt or die thing came off as rude so I didn't address it. But it does give off the "if you don't like it shove off" type of vibe. There's a lot of room for interpretation in Superman and a lot of room for each of us to love this that or the other version without being disrespectful to anther's opinion. Plus, as I mentioned before, everything old will be new again, just like how Superboy, Krypto, Streaky, Supergirl, etc, etc were taken out of existence in the first Crisis and all those things came back. The golden age and silver age will never go away, not even modern age Superman could hide from it very long.

It's the very best it's looked, The rendering is excellent. It's still a flawed costume for Superman, though. Just waaayyy to much of the same color.

It does kill me, though, when people say, "That IS Superman!".

I actually stopped reading Superman when they did this...

Yeah, even that change didn't last long. I remember when it happened, it was on CNN, in the newspaper, that was gonna be Superman's look, period. Jump ahead two or so story arcs and he's back to normal.

Which is why I'm not at all worried. They change stuff all the time, but it always returns to the classic look and a bit of golden age/silver age stuff.

Heck, when Superman had long hair was far my favorite version because he had long hair, like me! It's hard to find heroes to identify with if you are Black/Indian, but there he was and he had long hair and kinda looked like my uncles. But even that changed.

Yeah, just like most Superman illustrations don't show the back of his cape? Why? Because they're obviously ashamed of the yellow S!!!! The fact that the pose is great can't disguise that fact!

Tons of mainstream superheros used to have underwear on the outside, now all I can really think of is Superman. Its about time they ditched them. All they did is draw attention to his junk.

None of us...because what makes a person decide they are a FAN of something is their OPINION on it. And everyone's OPINION is theirs alone.

Love the Suit... It's new millenium.. left the trunks... let it be the Mr Reeve's Icon and oldschool comic.... we need changing... Which is the best.... HC suit or BR suit.... i think FC is better than BR....
