True. I think it's understood that if Batman really feels the need to take Cassandra down, he's not even going to bother attempting to do it with his fists. He'll set a trap for her and, at most, fight her solely to distract her.

Okay, but honestly, is Cassandra truly that great of a fighter? I mean, sure she took down Lady Shiva, but hell, Tim did that. And yes, I know she was trained by Kaine (Caine, Kane Cane?) but even there, how good of a fighter is he considered?

I don't think Nightwing is top tier in that way. He's tough, but people like Shiva or Richard Dragon would decimate him.

On the other hand, Nightwing is generally accepted to be the single greatest human acrobat.

Virtually almost every single premier DC martial artist has acknowledged Cassandra Cain among them, with the exception of Karate Kid (obviously, since he's in the future) and Richard Dragon (the two never met).

That's a good point about Batman.

I don't remember Tim poisoning her chocolates. I was talking about like, his 5th issue as Robin in his original mini-series, where he beats are by making a notch in his staff so it whistles and surprises her.

Id swap Batman and Black Canary, Put The huntress next to Oliver Queen,.. and add the manhunter.

Dinah recently went thru some serious training that bumped her up considerably,.. she can definetly whoop her husbands behind at this point Batman is a Jack,... Black Canary puts more into fighting than he does.

Huntress in Birds of prey has only been second to the canary in hand to hand,.. and she fights dirty.

I doubt Huntress could take Savant, though. And Dinah kicked Savant's ass before Shiva shipped her off for the OYL training.

Huntress couldn't take Black Canary even if BC fought with one hand behind her back. Huntress is good, but don't let the cartoon fool you, she's nothing special when compared to most of the other martial artists in the DCU.

I would Nightwing just inside or right outside that top tier, but that is just me.

I thought Karate Kid or Batgirl/Cassandra were the top dogs.

Martial arts augmented by superpowers don't count. If they did, Wonder Woman is the best trained fighter with both super strength and enhanced speed.

According to Batman somewhere (maybe a JL comic), Wonder Woman is the best melee fighter in the world.

Either by McDuffie or by Meltzer.

Yeah, Diana without any powers would still be considered one of the best fighters in the world.
