He hasn't. A new Azrael series is coming out to coincide with the Batman comics' Battle for the Cowl event, but that's gonna be a new guy.

So it is confirmed that it's not going to be Jean Paul as Az this time?

I think so. Although, Rip's blackboard did mention that JPV lives.

well, Rip's blackboard has been taking years to come to fruition, anyway. back in 52, is said "beware the Red Lanterns", or something like that. and the Red Lanterns are just now starting to coherently form. so maybe we'll see a new Azrael, and then have Valley come back later on to take the mantle back. I'd be cool with that.

Me, too. If that happens, I'd probably go back and pick up the Azrael mini-series, in fact.

But aren't the Black Lanterns "undead"? So are the BL zombies, or is this another Jason Todd scenario?

So I heard Hal Jordan was into children. Is there any truth to these allegations? If so, please provide some.

A pedo and a racist? If someone can produce a picture of Hal hitting a woman, it'll be a trifecta.

Close enough. She's not getting hit, but she's flinching like she expected it.

is anybody here keeping up with trinity? i love bagley's art. i have since 90's spiderman. but is the writing any good?

The writing's good. The art's ****ing amazing. The story, though? The story is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly slow. It teaches Bendis a few things about decompression.

And a large portion of the story, at least as of the past two months, has been focused on characters other than Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman. Basically, if you don't have the patience for the long haul, I wouldn't seriously recommend it.

think it would be worth getting in trade when it comes out? thats what i've been planning on.

i just realized though...batman is kinda....gone. how will trinity continue?

Trinity takes place in its own relatively short space of time, several months before the events of FC, not over the course of a year like 52 did or Countdown was supposed to. And it helps that a lot of it has been happening in an alternate reality.

Hehe, I've started reading Trinity in three's which is more thematic than I realised.

I loved the last issue I just read with Tomorrow Woman and Triumph - if someone told me there would be a great moment and story with those two a year ago I would have laughed in their face.

I never read any of Countdown either...was it any good?

the problem I have with books like that is that i really like some of the stories, but others i couldn't care less about. just like 52. i loved seeing ralph dibney trying to resurrect his wife. the rest of it wasn't that great to me.
