The OFFICIAL Deleted Scenes Links Thread

Probably just to keep the pace up and get the battle starting... though this little scene does explain why Jean was so conflicted and not doing anything on Alcatraz

and there's another scene where Mags ask her help, and she simply refuses, which shows how powerful and careless she feels about everything. God all these scenes so should be kept.

I also love how Storm and Syrin seem to love each other in the alt ending.

oh yeah, that's the one scene i would love the most to see in the actual movie.

Agreed, it shows that Jean's still in there. It makes the whole Phoenix rage at the end that more significant because she completely loses control.

And it adds more needed emotion. I actually felt something in that scene.

Yeah it was a good scene and that girl was a good actress.

was a little emotional, needed for the film.... Fox, and only Fox

true...i love the alt ending of the new school year...love Storm saying that line...and Jean senses a scared girl was great! it shows some character development.

does anyone know if there will be an option to watch the movie through with all the deleted scenes in it. like an extended version?

no there wont be. You have to go to a seperate section to watch them

I wish we at least would've got a branching option :( I haven't seen the deleted Jean scene (will wait for the DVD), but she really could've used all the character development she could get...especially in the third act, since in the theatrical version she was just standing around doing nothing till the very end.

The cure annoucement scene should have been left in and the same goes for the alternate school ending IMO.

Did anyone spot the continuity error in the alternate ending at the school?:woot:

i have now officially retired from watching deleted scenes on the web until tomorrow or wednesday lol :ninja:

This was posted on the official dvd thread. I think the Pyro and Mags scene should've been left in just to add more screentime and show more of the underground lair. But the alternate ending was a little corny so I'm glad with what we got there.

Just a heads up to everyone

There are 2 deleted scenes at www.mtv.com/overdrive

First is when pyro tells magneto that the cure has been announced (no beard)

Second is the alternate ending - New school year begins.

The Pyro and Mags one really is pointless but non the less could have been in the movie to show where Magnetos hide out is under the ground.

The alternate ending is basically the same as the one in the movie except beast and bobby are their with storm...which i like better

The links to the Jean Grey scene (both YouTube and RapidShare) have been added to the main post.

GOD...why did they cut that scene. all of you make good points and I did feel something and deep down, there is still good in Jean.

well even in the final cut, there was always good jean. She was trying to fight off her phoenix personality but it got the best of her throughout the movie and these scenes would've made more sense in explaining that concept and adding more depth and emotion to jean grey's character
