"Devil May Cry 5" | How the Devil Breaker was created | How Nero & Nico met

30K views 3 days ago Published on 14 Mar 2019

What's going on guys? RBG here, hitting you with another Devil May Cry 5 video. It's been a few days since the game's released. So I think I've given the viewers plenty of time to experience the game for themselves before I started putting out spoilerish uploads. Yesterday we talked about how Dante obtained the Balrog gauntlets. It was an epic battle where it showed just how powerful the King of Fire Hell really was so if you're interested I highly recommend checking out that video. Today we're gonna be talking about how Nero and Nico met and how the Devil Breaker was constructed. But before we get into this story I wanna remind you that this video is sponsered by Kookygamer. Since you guys have supported this channel I've linked up kookygamer to give you their free gaming mouse. It features a high FPS Rate, 7 different switches such as the back and forward buttons. An adjustable DPI, microswitches backed with LED lights, and much more. To top things off we're also throwing in the brand new super bass earbuds which you can order in either black or white. The shipping and handling averages around 5 dollars depending on your location. The link will be in the description box below so make sure you jump on that while the offer last. So getting back on topic I just wanna clarify that this is not a fan made story or project. I feel I have to make this clear because I there are a few comments thinking that I'm either making this up or I'm reading a fan theory for clickbait. But this is a official guys. All the info that I'll be providing today comes directly from the DMC 5 novel entitled Before The Nightmare. And it's written by the game's scenario writer, Bingo Morihashi. If you think I'm wasting 10 minutes of your time then I suggest going to read the translations for yourself. The link will be in the description. But anyways I wanted to talk about how Nero and Nico met and what went into creating the Devil Breaker. Because it was never really addressed in any of Nico's reports in the game.

Devil May Cry 5 Producer Says Development Has Ended, Which Means Trish And Lady Aren’t Playable. April 24, 2019 . 6:40am

Devil May Cry 5 Producer Matt Walker says there are no plans to add any more content to the game, as development has finished, and that he would have liked to see Lady or Trish playable.

48 comments Read >

Matt Walker, one of the producers for Devil May Cry 5, took to Twitter to answer questions from fans about the game. Unfortunately, some of the answers dash hopes about more playable characters. When asked about possible Devil May Cry 5 DLC that would make characters like Lady and Trish playable, Walker confirmed that Capcom has finished development on the game. In another comment, he confirmed that no more content is planned.

Here is the first comment from Walker on Devil May Cry 5 DLC, where he said he would have liked to have seen “the ladies playable too.”

@CapcomUSA_ @tomqe @gypsyOtoko I've been hearing rumors of a ladies night dlc. Is there any validity at all to these or is DMC 5 finished?

Matt Walker @retroOtoko

Unfortunately dev on DMC5 is finished. I'd personally like to see the ladies playable too. We can only hope that at some point we can convince the people up top that it's worth doing.

The follow-up comment was in response to someone asking about a playable version of Vergil. Here, Walker specifically said, “Unfortunately we don’t plan on adding any more content to DMC5.” In this comment, he also noted that Resident Evil 2 was a success and he hopes to see more games in the series.

Unfortunately we don't plan on adding any more content to DMC5. In terms of RE, I sure hope there are more titles in the works cause RE2 was a huge success. ^^

In other comments, Walker talked about other people who appeared, or rather didn’t appear, in Devil May Cry 5. First, when it came to Kyrie, she didn’t appear physically because it wasn’t in the budget.

Replying to @gypsyOtoko and 2 others
@gypsyOtoko Was she planned to be in the game since the beginning? Or someone decided to remove her later in the development? I'm really curious about this! I'd also love to see her if you decide to show her in future DLCs!

Matt Walker @retroOtoko

Good question. Honestly as much as we wanted to have her in the game physically, we only had so much budget allocated to characters, and we chose those you see in the game, so really it was from the beginning.

As for Vergil, Walker explained that he doesn’t look the way people may expect due to time spent in another realm.

Why the face of vergil in DM5 is not the same as that of dante to persar that they are twin brothers?
Why did not he take the same face of the model actor?
by the way excellent DMC is back. :)

Matt Walker @retroOtoko

We wanted them to look a little different partly so that they'd each have their own distinct look, but then also the idea is that Vergil's changed a bit since he was in the demon realm for so many years.

Sadly, Walker’s talk with fans didn’t reveal any details about the upcoming Devil May Cry anime series. As people may recall, Adi Shankar announced in November 2018 that he is working on a Devil May Cry series. When someone asked if it would be connected to Devil May Cry 5, Walker noted that he had no information to share.

@gypsyOtoko Never paid much attention to the lore in @DevilMayCry until DMC5 (loved it). There's a rumored Anime coming out at some point.. will it expand on the lore of DMC5 or be another stand alone in the universe? I love the Sparda lore with the current DMC5 crew. Any news?

Matt Walker @retroOtoko

Unfortunately I don't have any info on the anime at this point. ^^;

Friendly Reminder That DEVIL MAY CRY 2 Becomes Available Today For The Nintendo Switch

Earlier this month, Nintendo streamed their Nintendo Direct presentation for the month of September, revealing a bunch of new titles that would be releasing on the Nintendo Switch in the coming months; both from third and first party developers.

Capcom took this opportunity to announce that Devil may Cry 2 — the second title in their critically acclaimed hack and slash series — was also going to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on the 19th of September.

As of today, the first two titles in Capcom's acclaimed Devil May Cry series are available on the Nintendo Switch — which players can easily purchase from the Nintendo Switch eShop; with each game costing players a total of $19.99 USD.

With Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2 currently available on the Nintendo Switch eShop, we can only hope for Capcom to release the remaining two titles; considering that Devil May Cry 5 may prove a little bit too demanding for the Nintendo Switch's hardware.

Set some time after the events of Devil May Cry, this sequel adds even more moves to Dante's arsenal and brings it to the next level of stylishness. Use the wall run to get the vantage point on your enemies, then assault them with a spinning barrage of bullets using Rain Storm. Reprise your role as Dante, or play as the new femme fatale, Lucia, who prefers deadly throwing daggers to bullets and utilizes her speed with ninja-like reflexes.

Devil May Cry 2 is available for the Nintendo Switch today.

Different game, but somewhat relevant.

So I just started playing DMC5 yesterday and it's pretty good. I'm on mission 14 now. I've gotten more S and A ranks both in final results and gameplay than any DMC game before. So that's nice. But I will say I miss the days when it was just Dante.

Just Dante is the best imo. But I will say the two other characters in this one play very well and very distinctly. That you can't properly play as Vergil sucks so much as well.

For now we can't play as Vergil. I remember reading data miners found code for being able to play as him. But there's been nothing on that from Capcom's end. I'm crossing my fingers for a special edition one day. All I want is Vergil and Legendary Dark Knight Mode (a horde mode basically).

It would probably be in the distant future sadly. They said they were done adding material to this game. So no Vergil, Lady or Trish. I hope that is because we are getting a Special Edition of sorts at some point, but right now that isn't happening according to Capcom.

Got this the other day and ill be playing it sometime this week.

I finished this. This is one of the best looking games I've played. I think this looks a lot better than Re7, Re2r, Re3r and Re8 even though the environment is less photo realistic. I am comparing this to those games because they used the same game engine. The colors here just pop and the cutscenes are very well made. I wish the last four main Re games were like this, color wise. Compare to Re7, the cutscenes of this look very cinematic. I also like that I can rewatch the cutscenes in the menu. Not a lot of games offer that option anymore. All the characters are also well designed though I wish the women were more developed.

I have only played the third game before but I remember how it was so I knew exactly what to do here. I like that they kept the confirm sound from the third game and its just nice to play a game from a series that I have played before in the ps2. I was surprised how it differs from DMC3. I didn't expect V and Dante to be playable in the main story. There weren't a lot of back and forth in this which I liked. The game also felt like an All Stars edition. Lucia and Kyrie are the only ones I felt that were missing.

The only things that I didn't like are the fonts, V's move set and I didn't get all the power skills. I also wish the story was longer, maybe Vergil as a playable character in the main story and resurrect V. This is one of the fastest games I've finished. I finished it in 4 days because I was enjoying it. The next game would probably take a very long time from now. I wonder if they'd switch between Nero and Dante again? I want a female playable character in the DMC6.
