The Official Hulk Thread...

I was pretty lucky today...

I've been hesitant to pick up the Hulk, because like so many titles that I gave up on in 1997, if I jump on it again, I feel the need to get the missing issues so as to not have any gaps in my collection.

Anyhoo, Hulk 92 & 93 have long been sold out as well as their second printings. But this morning, I find Hulk 92, 93, 94 & 95 on the rack and they're first prints. The guy at my shop says that he cancelled someone's account (because he hasn't shown up in 6 months), and these Hulk issues were in his file and he says I can have them for cover price minus my 25% discount. I also picked up the guy's other Hulk issues going back to House of M.

Now I have to dig up over 80 issues, but I miss back issue hunting sometimes.

:)

STOP BEING WEIRD!!!! You dont HAVE to buy all the back issues, just pick up from the current storyline and enjoy! (kidding)

Actually, Bat; most of the issues since PAD left kind of suck. There was a few highlights here and there...when Romita jr was penciling, and one brief arc during Bruce Jones run with Deodato on pencils that featured a GREAT Abomination story and inevitable slugfest with 'ol jade-jaws...

But yeah, the current run is great fun. As i said before; it very much reminds me of the stories i read as a kid from that old sci-fi magazine, Heavy Metal....

Ive really been enjoying it.

I'm just meesing with you dude... You have like 50 times as many posts as me, so you can do whatever you want.

I have more like 79 times as many posts as you... :D ;)

But that doesn't make my opinion any more valid than yours.

:)

the hulk awesome...hence the name. anyways i got giant sized hulk today but i haven't read through it yet..fixin to do that. i agree that planet hulk is a great storyline but i can't wait until he gets back earth.

Was Giant Size Hulk any good?

Yeah, it was decent. There's an untold tale of the Hulk getting into a dust-up with the now defunct Champions (Hercules, Widow, Angel, Iceman, Ghost Rider and Darkstar, and man, would i LOVE for that book to be brought back!)...there's also a tale set during the present storyline that features Banner showing up on Sakarr.

The highlight, of course, is the reprint of Peter David's Hulk:The End one shot, which features very cool artwork by Dale Keown, and chronicles the Hulk's final days...if you havent read that story yet, you should pick this book up for that reason alone, imo...the other stuff is just gravy.

Giant Size Hulk was worth the money and then some. All 3 stories were beyond enjoyable, but like CaptainStacy said, Hulk: The End was definitely the best part .

Just read Planet Hulk over again.I'm glad that Pak is staying onboard for the long term with this title.Definitely has the makings of a definitve run.

Yeah, I hesitated to bring up the "Official" Hulk thread at a time when some ultra-pro Hulk posters are getting Hulk threads smashed, but hopefully calmer heads will prevail.

Hopefully :)

So, what's Hulk like these days? I enjoyed it around #454 all the way up until they killed Betty off :( Did it get better again? I got the house of M tie-ins, but I don't know if they're indicative of the actual series

What issue are we on, I picked up 96 a couple of days ago.

The current Planet Hulk story has been fabulous... it started at issue #92 (or#566 if you look at the past numbering... or #471 (which would be the REAL numbering) if you exclude the first 101 issues (and add 6) of Tales to Astonish)

You should pick it up.

:)

Will anybody come back with Hulk when he shows up on earth again?

It would be cool to see Korg come face to face with Thor again.

As cool as it would be,I can't see Hulk's entire crew making it to the end.
