You're in the wrong thread, GoodYoung. This is for fans who love these movies.

You came in to bash Dafoe's Goblin. You have said numerous times you hate these movies. So what are you doing here?

You will be surprised but I love the first SM. It's because of the nostalgia, not because I think the movie is great but still. But if it will make you happier, I'll leave :yay:

'They may have good review, but god, those movies are unwatchable now'

So yes, that surprises me when you say you love SM-1, considering you called it unwatchable the other day. If you love it then stick to just discussing it positively in here. This is a fan thread. Clue is in the title. You have plenty of other threads around the forums to bash them to your heart's content. This is a bash free zone, and we're keeping it that way. If you can't abide by that then yes it's a good idea to leave.

Ugh I hate comments like this, Its as if you actually like the movie but won't like to admit it so you come up with the nostalgia excuse.

That's pretty silly if you ask me.

Both movies deserves their success.

I believe nostalgia is one of the factors in the first movie because even though everything was going great pre release people just batch the movie just wanting it to fail.

What did they add to the 2.1 cut that turned it into his best Spidey movie for you?

Sorry man!Forgot to check the last page :/

It's weird,I just felt enjoying the movie a lot more or it's that by the time I hadn't seen the old movies for a long time, I even enjoyed that scene where MJ talks with her friends since it adds a really good depth to the character, I cracked so hard on the alternate elevator scene lol.

It just made the movie even better.

Fair enough. The scene with MJ and her friend is the only one I felt added some real value to the movie because I think it helped explain more why she was settling for John.

Because he's the safe option. Someone who she feels secure that will always be there for her. Peter was too unreliable in her life. She was afraid to trust him.

It just bugs me how he kinda appeared so sudden.

I think that 2.1 felt more straight from the comics,I can't really explain..it just felt.

The movie is so awesome that I couldn't keep but smile every second.

There isn't many changes between the normal cut of Spider-Man 2 and the 2.1 cut. Just some extra parts in the train and bank fight, a different elevator scene, Jonah in the Spidey suit, extended part to the doctor scene, and MJ with her friend. I think there is a few seconds added to Doc Ock killing the doctors.

I love 2.1 version but Im happy that wasn't the actual film. Jonah in the suit was too cheesy and the conversation between MJ and her friend had pretty bad dialogue lol besides it felt like it was beating me over the head with MJ's motivation in the movie, I like things more ambiguous. Funny enough if that scene was actually in the movie people would probably be more sympathetic towards MJ

Not true, the extended scene with Harry/Peter at his party helped the film alot too.

Yeah like I said before it's weird.

Can't explain.

I think that's because it feels like you're just watching the life of Peter Parker, like in the comics. The main story feels like it's just another arc. That's why the theatrical cut feels like so coherent, it focuses on the story and just the story. The extra stuff is unnecessary to the story, but it shows us different, everyday sides to things, like when Saleem got deported.:woot: Or when Peter got mad at the usher, or when he was drawing in college. What are your favorites?

^Harry scene too, shows their relationship, but not needed

Oh yeah I forgot about that one. That was a goodie. Exquisite acting from Franco there.

Absolutely. Should've been in the original cut.

This is likely the only part that should have stayed in the original movie.

If not only because the original version was so poorly edited...which is weird, considering SM2 is edited to perfection otherwise.

Although it didn't add anything of substance to the movie, I loved the addition of Ock and Spidey crashing into that office and Ock picks Spidey up and starts slamming him wall to wall.
