The Official "I Loved Raimi's Spider-Man' Thread - Part 1 of 99 Luft - - - Part 12

I think the Harry Potter structure works best for Spider-Man so we see him grow up in age. But at some point, if needed, I'd be cool with them going the James Bond route. Just "James Bonding" the franchise, although depending on how good Tom's performance is, it might be too difficult to recast. Same with RDJ as Iron Man, I don't think any actors can take it up without some sort of uproar.

While my preference would be for him to do another Spidey movie, I wouldn't be heartbroken if he applied his skill to another MCU movie. Raimi is a very talented director, and to get him on any MCU movie would be a treat.
I would love to see him tackle the Fantastic 4 under Marvel. I bet Spider-Man would make an appearance, too if that happened.

Holland will be relatively easy to recast, no matter how good he is. The public are already used to the revolving door of Spider-Man actors.

RDJ, on the other hand, will be quite the challenge.

The stakes were just as high in the train fight. Ock had MJ prisoner, her life depended on Spidey beating Ock. Not to mention the train passengers. It's one of those rare scenes that has it all.

Raimi was on top of his game here.

No doubt, it's the pinnacle of action scenes for the first 30 years of CBMs.

Anyone think that Raimi could return to direct someday under Marvel Studios? That just feels and sounds like a dream.

I'd love that. I think Raimi has one more Spidey movie left in him, too.

I think he moved on from Spider-Man but it would be fantastic if he directed any other MCU movie.

I'd take Raimi on any property. It's been said later in the thread, but Raimi could make the best Fantastic Four movie of all time with ease. His skills and sensibilities are perfectly suited for Marve's first family.

Shame the rights are at fox.:cmad:

Just imagine him directing a Spider-Man vs. Sinister Six film? The fights would be so incredible...

:hmr:

Well you're saying that now. 10 years from now could be totally different after we've seen Holland in multiple solo films and making a lot of appearances in other MCU films.

Agreed. I think he be as popular as Robert Downey Jr is for Iron Man.
He was so likeable in 10 minutes of screentime in Civil War, so I think he has the potential. And Tom Holland is a very energetic young actor with a lot of talent, and yet he still has room to grow.

The fact Holland was one of the most praised aspects of CW tells you something, when he was only in a handful of scenes. Quality shone over the quantity.

That wasn't a dig at a certain clownish band member, was it? :woot:

So do I. I've watched the movies themselves earlier this year, but have not done a trilogy marathon in forever.

I want to rewatch the trilogy soon. I don't know if I want to wait until closer to the release of SMH because it's a little distracting.

So I work at Goodwill, and a donated Spider-Man 2 poster came in. Framed too, and quite large. I'd love to get it. Brings back so many memories. Saw that movie in theaters 5 times. Long live the best!

miss you organic webs:csad:

I enjoyed the video until he said that Harry Osborn should have been Venom.

I'd say this is about the 10 billionth reason as to why fans don't write scripts.

Yeah. I've heard some really bad ideas from fans.

"Omg, they should introduce Peter Parker in Civil War, and totally kill him off. Then we can get Miles!." Ick.

After hearing that it saves me the hassle of watching that vid.

I've always believed Spider-Man 3 should have just focused on Sandman and Harry, while leaving rhe whole Venom plotline for a forth film.

Damn them for forcing Venom on Raimi.

Yeah, don't bother.

At most, Peter could have gotten the symbiote and used that to defeat both Harry and Sandman at the same time. But Venom should have been saved for the next film.

Seeing all these fan trailers make me wish for Spider-Man 4. :(

Really think Raimi could've redeemed himself with it.

lol is that the music from SM2: The Game? The eerie alien/UFO music?

There are some really bizarre fan trailers for SM4.
