Well, I love those movies (first two) for three major reasons. Number one: I grew up with those movies. Frankly, I was into Spider-Man comics before I seen any of the movies, and I seen them when I was in my pre-teens. Number two: Those movies were fun. Number 3: Those movies have displayed what I loved about comics as a medium since I was a kid.

A very happy anniversary to the best Spider-Man movie.

I don't remember seeing his face in the movie at all, just his name drop, I didn't know there was an actor assigned to him.

.

There was a scene that was cut. I don't know if the footage survived, but R.C. looked very much like Eddie in 2002.

Eddie looks like Uncle Fester when we first see him in the Addams Family movie.

I know what he looks like, I looked up the actor.
I didn't sit through the deleted scenes.

If the deleted scene survived, it's not on any special features I've ever seen.

I once read an interview with R.C. where he said he filmed a scene where he was walking out of the Bugle, bumped Peter, and said something like "Out of my way, Parker!" However, I don't remember if he alluded to the scene being finished or just test footage.

I've been reading The Amazing Spider-Man for the first time from the beginning as before I had only read some recent arcs and Ultimate Spider-Man (my all-time fav!).

Raimi really nailed the personality of Peter Parker as he was in the original Lee/Ditko stories. The loner, awkward, nerdy guy who keeps to himself is almost spot on to the point that I'm almost imagining the Parker I'm reading to be Tobey. I'm only 4 issues in so excited to continue this

Thumbs up to this.

Yeah, that's one thing that gave me a greater appreciation for these movies is how retro they feel in term of what they pull from the source material and how they go about embracing that gleefully.

After rewatching the 1st movie this week I wanted to draw a piece as a tribute, I'll post the full thing when I'm done but here's an in-progress peek for now.
