Spider-Man 1 was the first movie I seen in cinemas more than once. I went twice for 1, just once for Spidey 2 and four times for Spider-Man 3.

I didn't get to experience it like you guys. :csad: I was three when the first film came out & five when SM2 came out. :(

I remember covering my eyes when the Ock hospital scene happened. It was so scary

lol now I fell old. I was 13 with the first one and 15 with the second one.

One thing that I didn't realize until later was the absence of a score. I think that's part of the reason that the scene felt so raw and real.

I was almost 30 and got married a couple of weeks later. That was the last film that I saw without first getting a babysitter or having an inner debate about whether I could wait to rent the impending movie on Blu-ray. :woot:

Spider-Man 2 is still one of the best theater experiences I've EVER had to this day.

The other two certainly were as well (yes, even 3) but that movie blew the whole audience away.

Terrifying to think Spider-Man 3 is 10 years old this year.

I hear ya. I remember seeing it on opening night vividly. It almost feels like yesterday.

And, 10 years later, I still find myself defending Spider-Man 3. As I've said a million times before, it paled in comparison to the first two movies, but one of the worst comic book movies ever? Nah. I disagree with that.

Spider-Man 3 isn't exactly a terrible movie. There are lots of fun parts. But it is a huge disappointment in comparison to its predecessors, which is why it gets such a bad rap. After the tour-de-force that is Spidey 2, the third film is just weak.

Time has, and will continue to be kind to SM3. I'm not saying it will be revered as an amazing movie or anything, but when people see how horrible some CBM's can be (BvS, ASM2, SS), some look back and go "okay, maybe it wasn't that bad..."

Though, i've always liked SM3 myself. :sly:

I should make a video review of the game tie-in for this occasion, might as well play all of the tie-ins while I'm at it, including the *SHUDDERS* NDS game.

SM-3 has enough good stuff in it to not be considered one of the worst CBMs in my book.

The Raimi trilogy will always have a special place in my heart. Had the first one on VHS and used to watch it all the time. At that age I was at my peak on my Spidey fanboyism, reading multiple comics as well as playing the Spider-Man 2000/2001 game for the PC.

I remember one time when I was in kindergarten and our teachers took us to watch Finding Nemo in a theater downtown. I remember seeing a peculiar poster that immediately peaked my attention while we were waiting in the lobby.

Now, this was 2003 and I was just a kid then. I figured at first that the first Spider-Man was still running in the theater.

Then I noticed the 2. And internally flipped my s***.

One year later, I saw Spider-Man 2 in the cinema with my dad. Best movie experience of my life so far. I remember being so hyper and anxious to see it, and my ten year old mind was incredibly satisfied. To this day, this remains my favorite superhero movie (and needless to say the best Spider-Man movie).

Fast forward a couple years later and I had gotten my own computer and access to the Internet. Found about the second Spider-Man 3 trailer and watched. Hype once again came flooding in, though for some reason I didn't end up watching it in the theater. Don't remember why.

While Spider-Man 3 is flawed, there's still a lot of good stuff in it that it doesn't bother me as much. I'd take it over Amazing Spider-Man 2 anyday.

Man, I forgot VHS tapes were still relevant back then.

Yeah, surprisingly they were still around in the early 2000's.

Agreed I don't think it's the level of bad some make it out to be. They act like it's Batman and Robin bad. There is plenty of stuff that I think is great and I enjoy in SM3. Yes there are some negatives, but overall I can still watch it and enjoy most of it. It rounds out the trilogy nicely.

I think 2014 may have been the last time I sat through a Spider-Man movie from start to finish. Time to celebrate the three anniversaries this year by watching both film series.

Spider-Man 3 is a very flawed movie that isn't nearly as good as it's predecessors, but it's not bad and definitely isn't one of the worst CBM movies ever. Not even top 15. There's a lot in it too still enjoy.

Gorgeous poster. I had it hanging on my wall for the longest time.

When I see that poster, the bleak black suit/symbiote theme from Christopher Young courses through my skull and I still get a little rush--leftover energy from seeing that first trailer.

The Raimi trilogy posters were always terrific. I have the Spider-Man 2 Destiny one hanging on my wall.

I really liked the comic-con teasers for SM3, as well. I wish the Sandman one got released.

I still have my (framed) posters for all three of the movies. Granted, they're still at my parents' house, still hanging up in my old bedroom, but once I get my current house all organized and remodeled, I definitely plan to put those posters up in the office area.

The posters for the Raimi trilogy are quite wonderful. My favorite one, personally, was the Spidey and MJ one from the second movie (which is the poster I have). From what I remember, all my poster says at the bottom is "June 30th."
