Now this is a name I haven't seen in quite a while.I remember when the first TASM movies came out, lots of people turned against this trilogy. After that reboot was done and with the new MCu spidery, its such a relief to see people really appreciate these movies. To me, they're not just great superhero movies, they're great movies (yes even SM3 with all its flaws. You could feel the Passion Sam injected in these films, the cinematography, writing, the score and characters. As much as I can fan boy about the MCU, I feel they lack personalty.
Sam really understood the character of Spiderman more so than any other director. SM2 will for me stand as the greatest Superhero movie ever made. I'm excited for Dr Strange 2.
I'm watching the 1981 solo cartoon again, and that Sidewinder character talks like Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, it made the episode more entertaining.

If you want, I can make your avatar animated again.
That's the fanboy cycle. When something new comes out they trash the previous version. That happened when Batfleck came along and people turned on the TDK trilogy. It happened with every new version of Superman. Gotta trash the old versions to make the new one look better.
I never saw this. New?
Is this before or after Avi Arad forced him to include the symbiote/Venom?
This is sad, but true. I remember that some people, here especially, didn't even want to hear Elfmans theme anymore when TASM was coming out because it reminded them of the Raimi movies and they even wanted less "cool looking" swing scenes to aim for a more "realistic feel". It's good to see the Raimi movies continued to be labeled as the best, because there really isn't any live action version that comes close. Like you said, TDK trilogy as well. I see people say it's a terrible representation of the character when in reality, it's without question the closest we've gotten in live action. That's the fanboy cycle. Spider-Man 2 clearly showed that he read the Daily Bugle, so it was quite obvious.
