Twice, second time being in a recent interview. Tobey and Kirsten have also expressed that they would be up for coming back.

Great article. It's great to see in his absence his storytelling instincts haven't changed. Glad to see he wants to do an SM4 but for the same reasons he wanted to do the previous SM films.

Rami thought about Kraven for a spiderman 4 and marvel almost did a crazy last hunt type of thing for no way home before it end up being what it was. So come on make this Kraven spiderman 4 rami thing happen already has Kraven is one of the better not yet used villains in a movie and a lot of people including me wanted spiderman 4.

I will lose my mind if Raimi gets to do another Spidey movie with Tobey. Seriously I thought getting Tobey, Alfred and Willem back for NWH was insane. But this would be next level.

Here's a horrible thought, the Morbius director said Sony's Sonyverse of Spider-villains has a Spider-Man and the plan would be for people to find out who that is soon. What if it's Raimi Spidey lol? All the Daily Bugle papers are the same, Andrew Garfield seems to be taking a break from acting, the infamous Morbius trailer shot with the PS4 Raimi Spidey graffiti (sure it probably was just haphazard marketing). Sure there would have been 2 Eddie Brock's in the universe, but Topher was Edward Brock Jr.!!! See?! Sure, John Jameson was another dude in Venom but... uh, there's another John Jameson who's also an astronaut!!!

Imagine the Kraven movie ends with him getting a picture of Spidey to hunt him and it's Raimi Spidey lol. Then a hypothetical Raimi SM4 could happen with Aaron Taylor Johnson Kraven. You don't know what kind of ill-brained machinations Sony are planning, they're doing El Muerto.

Hard to believe it's been 20 years since then. Damn I feel old.

20 years ago, Raimi's first Spider-Man changed the way I watched and enjoyed cinema. It had a profound impact on me as a child and I'll forever be grateful.

Talking about the original, "Farewell" is such a triumphant piece of music and strong way to end the film. It's one of my favorite pieces of music on the original OST and I'd put it alongside the "Finale" theme used in Batman '89.

Also, just a cool ending sequence.

Watching Spider-Man tonight to commemorate. This is still in my top five favorite comic book films ever. I can't believe it's been 20 years.
