I much prefer Hans Zimmer lately from his work on BB and TDK. Elfman hasn't made anything great in a long, long time. From Nolan's films, that's probably the only theme on any CBM that gives me goosebumps besides Superman: The Movie's.

The more aggressive mannerisms are present in the way that Peter moves, such more forcefully yanking on his webline as he swings, kicking his legs out straighter, et cetera. It is there if you look at him closely enough.

Ehh...it's something I'll just miss out on. I'm never going to watch S-M 3 again, lol.

It is in some scenes, like the scene after Mary Jane dumps him and he goes to the trunk he keeps the suit in, it reminds me of a person turning to drugs in response to a bad breakup, et cetera. It even continues when it bonds to Eddie Brock, as he says that he doesn't want to give it up, and he jumps back to the symbiote after Peter pulls him out because he can't live without it. Don't get me wrong, things like the dancing scenes are BS that doesn't belong in the metaphor, but the metaphor is there.
The symbiote also represents the darkness within the human soul, and the temptation to give into it.

The trunk scene is about the only scene that can be compared to drugs, but I would've liked to see Peter tossing out clothes and what not to get to that trunk, or maybe tearing the door from the hinges to get to the suit.

Agreed. What was he planning to do next?

Have MJ's kids and flaunt them around Peter? Lol.

They really should have skipped him getting amnesia and have him be the film's main villain, perhaps until symbiote Peter beats the living **** out of him and he is rushed to the hospital.

They should've made Harry the main villain for half of the film and then Venom with the other half with Harry helping Peter in the end against Venom if Raimi wanted Peter and Harry to work together in the final act. Besides, Venom should've been a menace to deal with and deal more punishment without even using Sandman's help. Venom and the symbiote may not have been Raimi's original vision, but Sandman turned out to be the weakest link in the film by far.

Ok then.

I kind of prefer it more subtle like it was in the film. I also remember the line "The power, it feels good, but you lose yourself to it." from the trailer, and I think that line should have been worked in if there was a place to fit it. That said, I would have liked to see that metaphor in more scenes.

Have MJ's kids and flaunt them around Peter? Lol.

That would probably be the only way he could go.

Agreed. Venom is far more easily integrated into the "forgiveness vs revenge" theme than Sandman was. Sandman could have been a much better villain, but the film simply doesn't have the time to devote to scenes of him with his sick daughter, and without that, he lacks the sympathy he needs to work as a character. The way he was treated in SM3 would be like if we only saw Otto Octavius's fusion machine at the opening demonstration, then it was only mentioned thereafter.

That pretty much works out in itself. Granted, Harry wanted revenge as well, but in the end, that's how it would've worked out if Harry ended up helping Peter. Just imagine how badass Venom would've been if Peter AND Harry had to fight him and Harry died from it and Peter barely defeated Venom.

Agreed. Give Harry a good reason to forgive Peter and it would work great.

Mary Jane should have broke up with Peter on her own choice because he was acting like a ***** as much as she was during the movie, so Peter and Gwen starts to see eachother because of the symbiote's influence which makes Venom kidnap Gwen, but MJ figures out what the symbiote has done and realized that Peter can't defeat Venom by himself, so she begs Harry to help out and lets him know that Norman killed himself, which then Harry helps out Peter and begs for Peter's forgiveness and then vice versa before he dies. Gwen is saved and for once MJ isn't the damsel in distress, and Venom is killed. I would prefer the novelization as well with the symbiote leaving Eddie in just a pile of bones and going after Peter.

I like your idea!

Ehh, I disagree.

I thought Zimmer's work on Inception was really good, but I'm not a big fan of his score for Batman.

Is that just because you dislike Nolan's Batman films? Because the Inception score sounds very BB and TDK-like, imo.

I own Spider-Man 3 as well...

:woot:
Fun fun fun episodes, even with the involvement of Mordo and watering down the murderer Carnage

That doesn't make sense, but okay, haha.

I should make a thread somewhere in this forum and make a poll asking everyone's favorite CBM theme...have no idea where I can post it and the opinions wouldn't be solely on only one hero. Maybe...Misc. Films?

SMH12....The Dark Knight score is so good...how could you not like it? Hanz Zimmer is just...wow. You are so crazy, you weird motha****a.

TDK's score is amazing, but I was actually just referring to Molossus from BB, although A Dark Knight is another iconic piece of music for Batman. I'm sorry, but the only other CBMs that gets me so pumped during the ending credits besides Superman: The Movie are Batman Begins and The Dark Knight specifically because of those two tracks.

I'm not weird, it just doesn't feel like Batman to me. Don't get me wrong, it's cool, but not great. This feels like Batman, IMO.

That's iconic as well, but something about Zimmer's take is just so spectacular and awesome. Elfman did a great job with Batman for Burton, but it's a track that is just there and doesn't really build up as much as Molossus.
